Would you let them?
They can all be a bit overexcitable

Well they all survived, no damage, nothing illegal, no drinking, no fights. Tidied up after themselves. girls and boys.
Not my house, I would have said no. The parents were told 10 kids, there was more like 15, most went home about 10.30.

Will be the same crowd at my house for my sons birthday soon, so good to know they can behave. I won’t be going out though!

@BlueSkyThunking

I read that post, I just think at 17 they need to be deciding for themselves if a situation is safe/suitable. It sounds like not enough supervision at 15 and in response too much at 17.
No - what it is is parenting in response to the particular personality and requirements of that particular child and the group of friends with whom she is close. When it became clear that she was a born risk-taker, the challenge has been how to allow her to do 'risky' things when she was too young (when she would have done them behind my back, had I "supervised" her more at that stage, and could have ended up in some even worse situations) whilst occasionally having to step in even now she is older and say a hard no (this is easier when all parents are saying no!) The party I mentioned is the only one which has been in this category. FWIW, my others were different and I reacted differently. I have one - my oldest - who has still never been to a party or nightclub because he no interest in them at all (I share his view on this). It made him a very easy teenager, and I did let him have gatherings at home at 14, but was still in the house just in case.
