Grandchildren, (4 dc's all in their 30's none of them for various reasons are likely to have any DC's during my lifetime)

GingerScallop · 09/10/2021 15:26

oh friends. Loads of good friends to laugh and cry with

WayshrineNotFound · 09/10/2021 15:28

Kids, a functional wider family, or good health.

Also krill. I've never had it, never thought to want it (how does one even eat krill?) but apparently I'm allergic, so now I want some.

I also thought I'd never lose weight or get fit, either, but that turned out to be wrong!

A career.

Phenyl · 09/10/2021 15:44

Definitely slender legs and ankles. I have spent so many years worrying about how to dress appropriately for the weather/occasion without showing them. In my 40s I finally realised it doesn't matter if people know I have fat legs. I wore a short skirt and (while MIL looked a bit horrified) no traffic stopped, no lightning struck me down, noone took away everything that was important to me.... who knew??!!

But more recently- having to come to terms with ill health/loss of ability to work/inability to care for my children without assistance... I suspect those things rather helped put the legs issue in perspective.

Chasingsquirrels · 09/10/2021 15:45

DukeofEarlGrey hahaha I don't think my mum had even heard of e-numbers in the 70's. But we they have v little spare money & crap plastic tat wasn't a priority.

Having a dog. I grew up with dogs (golden retrievers) but my husband just isn't a fan. We have a cat who is lovely though (didn't rate cats till I became a cat owner)

Basically having a dog would make both my lovely husband and cat unhappy (although I would love for my baby to grow up a dog lover).

mangowithasqueezeoflime · 09/10/2021 15:52

@OldTinHat

A pogo stick 😪
My mom got a hula hoop for her 60th so it is maybe possible.

Then again after Baby Big Head I sure as hell couldn't pogo!

As a child - a loving, stable and caring family.
As an adult - financial security in my old age. Will be working forever.

Pollythecat15 · 09/10/2021 15:55

A voice for my adult son. He's never spoken a word.

emmylousings · 09/10/2021 15:58

Clear skin, a hair-free face.

I do have a loving mother though, and that makes everything easier.

I wanted a Mr Frosty when I was a kid too, but I bet they are rubbish in reality!!
