@BoredZelda. It takes all of 5 mins to sign up to Skype & it's really not that expensive to call. I call my sister a couple times a week for at least 20mins each time. Costs me about $6 a month

Its a list of typical cock ups DH has whinged about to me endlessly for years.

Its a case of doing all the fucking stupid things you possibly can (live update not properly tested), having a single point of failure and then having a structurial set up which needs multiple groups who don't have enough knowledge on their own who need to coordinate to fix the problem.

Aka as a clusterfuck.

Its more a case of poor practice, preparedness and prevention for catastrophic failure events.

I think there will be a few people looking for new jobs in the next few days....
