When my daughter was about 10 or 11 they'd had a talk in school about sex/sexual health. When she came home I asked her about it and what she'd learnt. She said "I can't remember it all but if you catch flush you have to put yoghurt on your ovaries"

Dd had an all mighty kick off when I served up shepherd's pie...... She thought the 3 wise men and baby jesus were in there.

Same dd threw the wobbler of the century when I said we were having Yorkshire pudding for our tea..... She'd spent the day expecting a dessert based meal 🙄

@selflove you have reminded me of something my nearly two year old said when she attended her grandfather's funeral.

I was trying to explain to her in simple terms what was happening and as the coffin was brought in, I whispered to her that Grandpa's body was in that box. Her reply was 'where's his head then?'

I almost had a very inappropriate fit of giggles.

I vividly remember my nan asking me if I wanted to "spend a penny" before leaving and I said yes please and excitedly held my hand out for a penny.

Ds did once tell me a whole earnest tale about having played “orange” with his dad, and how fun it was. Turns out he meant “squash”!
