To think this guy leaving me money is so strange?

Was out last night and met a guy, brought him home and had a one night stand. Had a good night and he left this morning, I then went to work. When I got home I noticed there is a twenty pound note on the side he was 'sleeping'. He obviously does not think I'm a prostitute but why in the hell would he leave that?

AIBU to think this is very very strange?

“Yes I agree, what a great start to the day, good sex and £20 to spend on snacks”

That’s the spirit Grin

Explosivefarts · 27/09/2021 19:10

No way does he think your a hooker not at £20 lol that wouldn’t even get a two minute handy. More likely he has emptied his pocket and lay money down and forgot to lift it

Beachbabe1 · 27/09/2021 19:10

I would say it's a very innocent reason, he forgot to pick it up!! Some of the people here jumping to crazy conclusions!!

MerryMarigold · 27/09/2021 19:10

Has he read the WhatsApp OP?

Withgasoliiiiine · 27/09/2021 19:10

But accident is as likely as any

daisychain01 · 27/09/2021 19:10

@Zeal

Or the Forest of Dean, where £20 goes a long way.
That's a decent down payment on a house in FoD Grin
Anxietyandwine · 27/09/2021 19:11

Place marking to see the WhatsApp reply! Shock

Comedycook · 27/09/2021 19:12

Looking forward to hearing the response

KurtWilde · 27/09/2021 19:12

I'm gonna go with he took it out of his pocket/it fell out of his jeans and he put it on your bedside table and forgot to pick it up.

SusieBob · 27/09/2021 19:12

@Kanaloa

Isn’t it possible he just emptied his trouser pockets before taking them off? I do this and have misplaced money before having left it down after coming home, whereas phone/keys are more likely to be in the coat pocket.

Also possible that he emptied his pockets when a bit drunk in the evening and in the morning couldn’t remember if it was his or not so didn’t take it.

Obviously this is the case, as opposed to some of the absurd theories flying about.

@Gastonia

If you don't know him, how come you have his phone number? Confused
Gosh. Sit yourself down lovey, as this might shock you. But maybe she… brace yourself…. asked him for it because she quite likes him. She might even know his name. I know, I know, hand hold for you…
Shellfishblastard · 27/09/2021 19:13

Is this really a thing? Honestly?! Gosh I am so naive! I would just assume he had left it by mistake Confused

So if it was amazing you have potential to be left how much exactly?

If this is the case he is an arse hole

Rudepeople · 27/09/2021 19:14

I wish. Wink

Quick99 · 27/09/2021 19:14

Yeah I would have messaged him as well at worse it will make him feel awkward and hopefully a proper shit. Or at best it's a misunderstanding he thought he owed you money for something you paid for and you can get this cleared up before writing off a potential relationship over crossed wires.

InFiveMins · 27/09/2021 19:15

I think it fell out of his pocket and he thought it was yours. I really don't think he would assume you are a prostitute. I hope not anyway Blush

SecretKeeper1 · 27/09/2021 19:16

Look, even if his response is “it’s all you were worth you slaaaag” at least OP can buy a bottle of gin and drown her sorrows / laugh at the audacity. She’s still up £20 and a damn good shag.

Quick99 · 27/09/2021 19:16

Caveat
No answer is a clear sign he's an utter bellend who is too cowardly admit to doing it for a laugh and treat you like a prostitute. So well off out of that

@discombobulatedonion

Am I the only person who doesn’t find this insulting? If this happened to me I’d be buzzing over £20 Grin
Me too.

Good night out, great sex & 20 quid to treat myself-what's not to like?

If it was a ONS & no intention to contact him-what's all the drama about?

Pr1mr0se · 27/09/2021 19:20

If you have his number just message him.

Gastonia · 27/09/2021 19:20

Gosh. Sit yourself down lovey, as this might shock you. But maybe she… brace yourself…. asked him for it because she quite likes him.
The OP said she didn't see it as a likely relationship, so I thought it was strange she asked for the number. However, she's explained that he volunteered it! Smile

Shellfishblastard · 27/09/2021 19:21

Hope he replies!

OliverBabish · 27/09/2021 19:21

I can’t ever spend money that isn’t mine e.g. that I find somewhere. I have to donate it or I worry about bad karma Grin

I’d just think he accidentally left it.
