Was out last night and met a guy, brought him home and had a one night stand. Had a good night and he left this morning, I then went to work. When I got home I noticed there is a twenty pound note on the side he was 'sleeping'. He obviously does not think I'm a prostitute but why in the hell would he leave that?

Just a word of warning. I put an old jacket on recently and found two £20 notes in the inside pocket. I gave one to someone as a tip and they kindly pointed out it was one of the old style ones, which are OK but its a bit of a faff to have to go to the bank. But still legal tender.

If it is an old style £20 note OP, and if you are a prostitute, you will surely have one of those magic pens that some of the corner shop-keepers have to test if it is a forgery. Especially if you are in one of those older, gently shabbying, seaside towns like Rhyl or Llandudno where you will know what I mean. Or Skegness for example.

Hope he wasn't being a dick. He definitely didn't genuinely think you were a sex worker, surely they would have set a price and prob taken money beforehand.

You mention talking about work, I don't suppose it's possible he got the impression you're going through a tough patch money wise (covid related maybe), and left it as a well meaning 'accidental' gesture without thinking through how it could have looked?
