To ask cleaner if they've been vaccinated?

I am keen to have a cleaner again, my pre-pandemic cleaner is refusing to have the covid vaccine (I know this because we are friends on Facebook and she's constantly posting conspiracy theories.) I felt it would be more respectful to just discreetly get a new cleaner than tell her I'll only ask her back if she gets vaccinated. However how do I tell an agency that I'd only like a vaccinated cleaner? Are they even allowed to ask, so should I?

Don't worry OP I am pretty sure the cleaner if she is not vaccinated will weigh up the risks and decide. .. Its probably more daunting cleaning someone elses bog, so update her if any family members in the last 48hrs have had a loose bowel movement Smile

You are not being unreasonable to want somebody who works in YOUR HOME to be vaccinated, thereby reducing your risk. (which it does, contrary to popular belief) The people saying YABU are ridiculous. People have a right not to be vaccinated but people also have a right to health as much as possible. You are within your rights to ask. Whatever makes you feel comfortable in your own house. I can’t believe these responses.

I've worked many jobs in my life (I was very fickle in my younger years 😂) and domestic cleaning was one of my favourites. It paid well, was very flexible and I really enjoyed it. I worked through an agency and there was such a huge demand for good, hardworking cleaners that I was able to build myself a lovely base of regular clients and I turned down the bad ones. I usually cleaned the bad ones (by bad I mean rude, pretentious, up their own arse) at least once before I realised they were bad. You're actually a decent person for being so openly an arsehole that you give potential cleaners the chance to never have to encounter you in person.

Totally reasonable to ask.
