To ask: what makes you know that your DP really loves

Fed up a bit with all the stories of shit DPS on MN. So let’s hear about the good ones.

I realized DH was a loving guy when we had been dating a few months and we’re going to the cinema. Before we left the house he asked if I remembered my glasses as otherwise I wouldn’t see the screen properly and would get a sore head.

When pregnant and over emotional I was crying because no clothes fitted or looked nice on me. He just nodded. A while later he came over with his iPad. He had been on ASOS selecting maternity wear in my size and style and just was looking for final approval of the items before ordering

I love this thread. I wish I had someone who treated me this way. How did you meet these guys?

When we were in the queue for the loo at the Notting hill carnival and it was my turn I opened the door and it was so grim inside I couldn't bear to step inside even though I was desperate to go. He went ahead of me and used the loo and cleaned up he whole Portaloo just for me to use it. I knew he loved me because this wasn't just a grim loo it was a grim festival loo. That took some doing!

We struggle with the ups and downs and ins and outs of life, but he told me my new passport photo was beautiful. I was ill when I had it taken, completely unprepared so rushed hair and tiny smidgen of make up and i feel like I look old and haggard in it. When I said that, he was genuinely shocked that I felt that way and told me I look beautiful

Brings me a glass of water every night and makes sure my phone is charged

Praises every single thing I do or achieve like I’ve just cured cancer

He never comments on other women out of respect for me, after my super cheating bastard ex I thought I’d always have anxiety about not trusting men but it’s like I’m the only woman in the world.

He always wants me to have nice things, the nicest food, lovely wine, the loveliest clothes, the fanciest hair appointments

We sleep facing opposite directions in bed but he reaches back and keeps his hand on my leg until we are asleep - just so we are touching

My husband is trustworthy, kind and funny. He does household stuff and takes care of our aon without any prompting. We work together on our family. He is good to my parents he is thoughtful and just wonderful

My husband has loved me in so many ways since I was 15.
I'm now 68 and he's just heard me awake (needing a wee) so has gone to put the kettle on.
I love him very much too.

Its the little things-

I always drink coffee, unless I am ill or eating eggs, when I have a cup of tea. He never forgets (and makes a cracking brew!)

He makes me a hot water bottle when I am due on without being asked

He puts my favourite pyjamas on the radiator for me in winter so they are warm after my bath

Too much to list but I’ll just tell you that my DH makes me feel like the most gorgeous creature that ever walked the earth and treats me accordingly! He is so loving and adoring and I feel extremely lucky. He tells me every day that I’m the most beautiful woman he has ever met. He’s drop dead gorgeous which is an extra bonus
