To think this is an odd thing for guy I'm seeing to say?

I have been dating a man I met online for 6 weeks, all going well, I really like him and from what he says and does he feels the same. But last night we had sex and were lying in bed talking and he had his arms round me and I looked at him and he said, 'I can just see the hormones being released in your brain'. I laughed and was like 'what?' And he said, 'women release hormones when they're falling in love and I can see it happening to you right now' Confused

AIBU to think this was a very odd thing to say?

I think you know what you should do...

Aquamarine1029 · 08/09/2021 19:11

There are sometimes moments in a new relationship when you should dump the person immediately. This is one of those moments.

Tooshyshyhushhushioi · 08/09/2021 19:11

run !

Whattheschitt · 08/09/2021 19:11

Ew. Definitely ick level 1000.

CloseYourEyesAndSee · 08/09/2021 19:11

Ewwwwww

takemetoyourhouse · 08/09/2021 19:11

I just awkwardly laughed and said 'no I don't think that's happening here' Blush

He knows how to turn a woman off in one easy step, doesn't he.

DifficultPifcultLemonDifficult · 08/09/2021 19:12

🤣🤣 I would have laughed.

Who even thinks something like that, let alone be arrogant enough to say it.

What was your reply?

BeaucoupFish · 08/09/2021 19:14

And how long was it before he was pulling his clothes on and leaving ?
Never to darken your doorway again

daisyjgrey · 08/09/2021 19:14

Well, that's one way to instantly dry up a vagina.

Shallwegoforawalk · 08/09/2021 19:15

Ah I see @Namechangedforthreadbackafter has rocked up with his/her usual bitchy comment, always criticising posters on here for their choice of words or expression - while having absolutely nothing of value to contribute HmmHmmHmm

BeaucoupFish · 08/09/2021 19:15

@whatwasIgoingtosay

We need a new thread entitled Ridiculous Things Men Say After Sex. Smile
I think the ‘ick’ one has that covered
BreatheAndFocus · 08/09/2021 19:15

Yuk yuk yuk! He’s either an arrogant twat or this is the start of controlling behaviour. I’d dump him for the first alone, but definitely dump him if you in any way suspect the second.

ChaToilLeam · 08/09/2021 19:17

Good lord, he sounds arrogant!

GameSetMatch · 08/09/2021 19:17

😂

Welshmaenad · 08/09/2021 19:18

This is so creepily similar to something that was said to me, that if you happen to be in Wales I would genuinely ask you to DM me.

WineByTheSea · 08/09/2021 19:22

Are you sure it wasn’t a joke? It sounds like a joke to me but you know him!

Coffeepot72 · 08/09/2021 19:23

Arrogant or what?!?

vivariumvivariumsvivaria · 08/09/2021 19:23

dump him with this thread.

"MN says you're wrong. Quite wrong"

LordOfTheOnionRings · 08/09/2021 19:25

He is going to dump you and say its because your feelings are too strong and he wants to protect you

cittigirl · 08/09/2021 19:25

It sounds like a joke to me 🤷‍♀️

Whatup · 08/09/2021 19:25

Blimey does he write really bad romance stories?

OldTinHat · 08/09/2021 19:32

@Nextlevelnonsense ^^ this, just this!! Genius reply and carry on with your sprint for the hills!

Men actually say this shit???!! Oh ffs! OP - flee, FLEE!!!!!!!

ItsNotMeAnymore · 08/09/2021 19:32
