To which he replied men shake ,they dont use loo roll .i cannot believe that have never noticed this.! Thought they would at least pat it a bit with some loo roll. No more spontanous for me for now. 🤣

@BeautifulBirds

How do men with foreskins wipe or pat their pensis after a wee? Seriously??
The same way as anyone else BUT they tend not to need to do so as much as the jet is clear and doesn't contaminate bits of skin 😂
Sparklingbrook · 07/09/2021 20:35

Imagine watching your partner have a poo

There does seem to be a lot of partner involvement in using the loo on this thread. I'm clearly missing out. Confused

ElvisPresleyHadABaby · 07/09/2021 20:36

Knew this. Was disgusted. Insist DP soaks with loo roll or absolutely no BJs.

GreyhoundG1rl · 07/09/2021 20:36

🤮. Why are people describing their menfolk's bathroom routine in such lurid detail? Seriously...

APJ1 · 07/09/2021 20:41

@Sparklingbrook

No tea spitting or waking the baby here, just crying and shaking over what has become of MN.
I was SHAKING with laughter at that! Grin
BeautifulBirds · 07/09/2021 20:41

Well having worked in hospitality for many years I can most certainly state 99.9% of men do not do this, as I witnesses them walking out of the loo doing up their trousers. No willy wiping, hand washing.... Nadda!!!

SpeckledlyHen · 07/09/2021 20:42

This is not a classic - it smacks of Paul and Sam in catherine tate.. we absolutely fell about, I'm mad me..

jaundicedoutlook · 07/09/2021 20:43

Asked DH. He says if paper is there then it usually gets a pat. If it isn’t (e.g. public urinal) then a shake is adequate.

Apparently, excessively vigorous shaking at the urinals is frowned upon in men’s public lavatorial etiquette.

Well quite. I didn't even realise I should be taking an interest. But I tell you something, I'm going to be a damn sight more careful when booking hotel rooms for now.
smallgoon · 07/09/2021 20:43

Imagine not knowing this...

Redhotchilis · 07/09/2021 20:43

@DameCelia

Yuk My husband always does. Prevents clothes smelling of stale wee.
Same. It's grim not to Confused
Arrowheart · 07/09/2021 20:47

I've not read past your first post OP as can't move on after you assume your husband's lack of toilet roll will be a thread worthy of Classics....

Fairweatherahead · 07/09/2021 20:47

I just asked dh.
He says a shake gets rid of it. I dont know how one can actually tell tho.
Urine IS sterile tho right?

CounsellorTroi · 07/09/2021 20:48

Mine does.

ShowOfHands · 07/09/2021 20:51

@MolyHolyGuacamole

DH definitely does and so does DS. They also don't use urinals, they wait and use a cubicle precisely so that they have loo roll available.

Unless your DS is 5 and under, I have no idea how you could possibly know what he does in there

And same with your DH really, or do you discuss it every night over dinner?

Well given that DS is primary aged, he talks about all sorts of things, particularly things which surprise him. So when he was old enough to use the men's instead of coming to the women's with me, he was quite surprised by urinals and how few cubicles there are for men. Every now and then he will be slightly longer than expected and will apologise and explain there was only one cubicle and he had to wait. So maybe in a decade of parenting, he's mentioned it a couple of times, probably no more than five but I know he's never used a urinal because when he saw one this summer (piece of art at the Tate Modern), he mentioned he'd never used one.

And no of course we don't blooming talk about toilets over dinner but I do know DH has occasionally nipped to a public loo and the cubicle is out of order and it's annoyed him or we've talked about toilet etiquette after Sheldon in Big Bang Theory mentioned it and I idly wondered whether his thoughts were universal. So again, in 22yrs, we've probably mentioned it in context a couple of times. It's hardly a constant topic.

EatYourVegetables · 07/09/2021 20:51

I’m just here to monitor the use of the word “grim” which I knew would make an appearance. Two so far, one on the first page. Solid, though not quite top MN performance.

I don’t think I heard the word used outside of MN, but here anything to do with bins, toilets (esp. brushes), and not changing your bra twice a day and your sheets three times a night is grim.

Sparklingbrook · 07/09/2021 20:51

I refuse to ask DH although he's sitting opposite me. I have a father and a brother, a husband and two sons, 4 nephews, and I can proudly say I have no idea what any of them do when having a wee as I've never been around to study it closely. Except maybe the 15 month old who wears a nappy.

Famousinlove · 07/09/2021 20:52

Your DH is grim, hope you aren't the one washing his pissy pants!

GeorgeMichaelBluth · 07/09/2021 20:53

I was almost in my thirties when I discovered this, YANBU

hangrylady · 07/09/2021 20:53

Those who are saying that their DH, DS and other men in their family wipe their willies. How on earth would you know? Do you watch them?

Famousinlove · 07/09/2021 20:53

I use the word in real life BTW

MichonnesBBF · 07/09/2021 20:54

@YanTanTethera123
["Great. They shake and there’s spots of wee up the wall?"]🤢
He's doing it wrong 😆

I have worked with nursery aged children for 20 years, from the hundreds I have supported with toilet training, never have I ever offered toilet roll to the boys. Absolutely no parent has ever mentioned it either.
My own son and DH don't either (just give a little wiggle)

Including their sons toilet habits. Hmm
