Mysterious soup

This morning I decided to clean out the kitchen cupboards.
In one of the corner base units, I tend to keep a small store of tinned and jar foodstuff.
So, after pulling everything out, including god knows how many random Tupperware lids which have clearly mated and multiplied at the back, I came across a tin of marks and Spencer chicken soup.
Now this has confused me because I never go to M&S and I hate chicken soup.
So, how the heck did it manage to sneak in and hide amongst tins of corned beef and jars of sauce?
There's only me and the dog here!
Now unless the dog has managed to leap over a six foot fence, sneak into my neighbours cupboard and emerge victorious with the tin between his teeth, to leap back over the fence and stash it in my cupboard, then it's a complete mystery!
Help.

It as me, I have a fetish for sneaking into peoples houses and leaving chicken soups! Sorry! :-(
Jokes aside, this has intrigued me! I once found coconut milk in my cupboard, I am allergic, so would have not bought it. Unless DH is trying to kill me

Have you ever had builders in? Maybe it was their lunch?

Or someone to stay who was worried about your cooking? But then got embarrassed and hid their soup in your cupboard?

Do you do Ocado shops? They sell M and S stuff maybe it was a mistake in an order?

Not done a shop with ocado since before they stopped trading with Waitrose.

I've had some very random tins of stuff from Tombola's over the years!

At DSs junior school the same bottle of bright blue alcohol (not sure what it was) appeared at the bottle tombola stall at the Christmas fair.

(Definitely) the Same bottle, ever year it got donated back. I wonder if it’s still doing the rounds?

Did you buy it at an m and a garage as a last minute harvest festival donation - then forget?

Or maybe you bought it when someone was ill ... chicken soup is great for that!

London Airports ( and possibly most other uk airports to be fair) have an M&S in them for arrivals so could your hubby have picked it after he landed home for a visit and randomly picked up your least favourite soup instead of champagne , failing that it’s the dog trying to impress next doors dog with posh food (can tinned soup ever be posh? I just have Heinz so can’t comment really )

Dammit just I was coming on here to say Peter had deliberately put it in OP's cupboard to stop the temptation to wanna make love to it (he really really loves his kids after all and Dr Em. Whereas Carby Claire would just dunk her bread in, sorted).

@AlfonsoTheMango To be fair, I sniggered a bit when I saw the typo before I hastily corrected it. That said, I would happily be serviced by the plumber, he's a bit of alright.
Maybe a remake of those confession films where my clothes accidentally fall off while I'm heating up the soup.
