To never wear shoes again?

Yes, I'm being dramatic! But I'm f#cking fed up of EVERY new pair of shoes ending up in blisters that take a week to heal.

I've tried really expensive shoes, tried breaking them in at home in socks, tried bigger sizes, smaller sizes...

I feel at the inside of shoes to see if there's anything to rub.

I've tried sandals, loafers, trainers, toe posts, "Court shoe" types. They ALL find a bit of my foot to hurt.

Currently sporting a cut on my left foot and a blister on my right heel from shoes that seemed as soft as butter.

I'm praying my old sandals last til winter til I can get out my old boots! And then start the process with new boots... by spring they'll be comfortable.

So, am I being unreasonable to be entirely barefoot for the foreseeable?

Either shoes that you have to wear socks with or Geox in my case and even those is a touch and go. I am barefooted whenever possible thoughGrin DH keeps buying me slippers

Does this mean you don't normally wear socks?

Most shoes really do require socks or your sweaty skin will rub on the bare fabric of the shoes and cause blisters.

You can get socks with padded heel/toe areas if that helps.

I can't wear socks with "going out" heels. Or work shoes. Even with tights I get rubs.

The stick sounds interesting. I've used compeeed for years but never seen the stick!

Yup my current comfy sandals are H Fit Flops with a toe post. They don't make this style any more. Sadly!

It's either the heel, the edge or a seam inside that rubs usually. Not pinches from being too tight.

Meh. I've got stupid feet! Grin

I cant wear any shoes without socks or they would rub. I went througg a phase of shoe liner socks for work shoes but really socks or trainer liner type things are only way f9rwards. This does limit what I can wear in a sense but doesnt seem unusual.

You can wear socks under tights - I did for years at school to prevent blisters. Trainer socks with a padded bit over the ankle and then tights on top.

Lots of people can't wear shoes without socks - I think you may need to accept you're one of them WinkGrin
