I turn the volume up loud

Too right - I'm off to listen too :-)

IndigoApple · 13/08/2021 22:14

@thirstyformore

In the minority but I really don't like it. It's not true 90s song ....always sounded to me like a 60s rehashed song. I can think of loads of better upbeat 90s songs .
I agree, never understood the love for this and surely we can’t be the only ones?
RedToothBrush · 13/08/2021 22:15

I concur.

Figgygal · 13/08/2021 22:15

Loooooove it so much

RedToothBrush · 13/08/2021 22:16

One of the absolute classics.

MintMatchmaker · 13/08/2021 22:18

I love it but Falling is my favourite ever song by them. I can’t believe it wasn’t a bigger hit.

Halfpastfun · 13/08/2021 22:20

100% agree.

YES I DO FEEL BETTTERRRR!!!!

SpringIsSprung1 · 13/08/2021 22:21

Absolutely, YES!Star

DrManhattan · 13/08/2021 22:23

@IndigoApple
I agree, I'm not getting it either. His voice is amazing though

AlbertBridge · 13/08/2021 22:23

It's amazing. BUT I always felt it was a cop out just to repeat the first verse. It needed a second, different verse. It deserved a second verse.

IMO.

MadameKali · 13/08/2021 22:25

YANBU
Top tune and made all the better by me screeching along with tears streaming down my face*.
My neighbour totally agrees.

(*Physical reaction that I can't do anything about)

BrownEyedWoman · 13/08/2021 22:26

Brilliant song and love Suede!

Obviouslynotallthere · 13/08/2021 22:27

I've always loved this track.

ExpectingToFly · 13/08/2021 22:27

Feckin choon Grin

GloriaSilver · 13/08/2021 22:27

@CrazyOldBagLady

It is a great song. They were one hit wonders as far as I recall?
They were not one hit wonders , Bernard Butler was in Suede!
MovinOnUp · 13/08/2021 22:27

Belter of a song!
Off to find my headphones.

BrownEyedWoman · 13/08/2021 22:28

Oops appreciate the fact this song was a collaboration (but Suede are ace too) Grin

thirstyformore · 13/08/2021 22:28

@BrownEyedWoman I love Suede too...but this song is nothing like Suede!!

NoWordForFluffy · 13/08/2021 22:28

@Happyface120

No, Size of a Cow is dirge *@BrightYellowDaffodil* sorry...
Yes. It really is!

I bloody love Yes. I wail along to it when it comes on my iPod at the allotment! 😁🤣

itsnotmeitsu · 13/08/2021 22:29

Yes > 'Yes' is absolutely brilliant! I have the album that features this, and I love their collaboration. I used to hear this song and it resonated with me, but it took me a while to find out who it was, as those were the days before Google.

BrownEyedWoman · 13/08/2021 22:31

@thirstyformore agree v different lol! Got over enthusiastic posting - blame it on my love for Brett Anderson as a 90's teen!

Sewaccidentprone · 13/08/2021 22:32

Incredible song

Bloodylovecheese · 13/08/2021 22:33

Bloody love that tune...just as much as cheese Grin

Orla1970 · 13/08/2021 22:33

Oh yes! I saw them live trillions of years ago, not a proper gig, they were guests at a music night at the university union. Apart from the fabulous voice he was quite beautiful in the flesh 😍. Away to play this right now x

itsnotmeitsu · 13/08/2021 22:36

@Scautish

Definitely. I saw them live in a small pub and when I was going to the loo I passed Bernard Butler and drunk ranted at him about how “fucking wonderful” his song was. He looked terrified and I don’t blame him.
I had that experience with 'The Black Kids' in a tiny venue in York, although I never spoke to them (smile). I loved 'I'm Not Going to Teach Your Girlfriend How to Dance With You' and passed the lead singer as I was heading to the loo, as they were filtering into the venue. But I kept quiet, whilst being thrilled to say to my husband when I came back from the loo - 'Guess what happened to me!'
