I really can't stand ant McFarlin. Disgusting man along with his new wife.

What has the wife done?

He cheated, he drank, took class 'A' drugs as well as the other stuff, and almost killed people, but what compounds the awfulness of it all was when the chips were down for him his PR people were out deliberately taking photos of his wife looking her worst, and inventing stories about her to deflect from his disgusting behaviour.

The man was done for drinking and driving and his first marriage broke up.

That happens, it doesn't mean someone is a pariah forever. I doubt he will drink and drive again and his second marriage is likely to last, they often do.

Boy George is another, the fact that he was found guilty of assaulting any imprisoning a male escort seems to be forgotten.

Likewise the turd Jeremy Clarkson who was racially abusive and punched a producer because he couldn't get a hot meal. Obviously he was sacked at the time but seems to have gone from strength to strength being endlessly financially rewarded with new shows.

Try being a civilian and getting a job with assault or false imprisonment on your record!

Neither of the two I've mentioned has any particular talent the world is better off having than not.

Is he an alcoholic or did he just go through a phase of heavy drinking? There is a difference.

She is old enough to be able to weigh up the pros and cons.

People often turn to drink to drown their sorrows. If he is happy now, he may well never drink to excess again. He certainly looks better, as if he has been given a new lease of life. I'm all for people having another chance.

Maybe you would marry someone like that Plumtree but I wouldn't. No ones second chance comes at the potential expense of my peace of mind

Unpopular opinion but I think he's okay, I know decent people that have done bad things. I also know people that have come back from addictions (which made them do bad things) and go on to be amazing human beings, helping others with similar issues.

I don't get the impression his ex was a particularly nice person - always got a bitchy vibe from her - and I certainly don't feel sorry for her, plenty of people have worse breakups and don't end up with millions of pounds in the bank!

I thought the choice of dress was odd given the circumstances - usually it's classier to go for a more low-key dress when you've both cheated on your spouses and are getting married for a second time (in your 40s) rather than a "look at me!" princess dress.

That said, it was a beautiful dress.
