I’ll go first:

Losing a pet is not the same as losing a child.

Now your turn!

I don’t change my bed sheets every week.

I only use my towels once before I wash them.

coodawoodashooda · 07/08/2021 12:03

@Couldhavebeenme2

'I feel like a single parent'
That.
makingmyway10 · 07/08/2021 12:03

Breastfeeding versus bottle feeding
Second homes
Expensive watches/jewellery/handbags
Private school versus state

Personal experience in how horrid these threads can be Smile

Not everybody likes dogs
not everybody likes or wants children.
burritofan · 07/08/2021 12:04

If you’ve invited your mum to the birth, you don’t have to invite your MIL as well to make it fair.

makingmyway10 · 07/08/2021 12:04

Oh I forgot letting tradespeople use the loo! Apparently even using the term tradespeople is inflammatory Hmm

Mrssmithscrisps · 07/08/2021 12:04

Must be grateful for any gift you are given, because gifts are not given to convey anything other than the senders good wishes.
They do not signal the end of a friendship, are definitely not used passive aggressively , or simply as a sign that a friend or family member couldn’t be arsed to spend 10 mins thinking about something a recipient would like.
Expressing anything other than undying gratitude for a £3.00 box of milk tray, from you best friend of 20 years on your wedding day, means you are a grabby cow.

GreenTeaBlackCoffeeAndRedWine · 07/08/2021 12:05

It's fine and totally normal for adults to have more than 10ml of wine every 3rd Christmas

Purplecatshopaholic · 07/08/2021 12:05

Wearing anything to a wedding with so much as a hint of white on it means you are going straight to hell…
Pet bowls in the dishwasher……

Knittingupastorm · 07/08/2021 12:06

@FrangipaniDeLaSqueegeeMop

Don’t open that can of worms.
Faevern · 07/08/2021 12:06

That you couldn’t or wouldn’t breast feed.

Are washing bowls A Bad Thing?

But if you have a single sink how else will you be able to wash your dishes in suds and also rinse them off too?

@Peachdisco

That most people on this thread don't understand the meaning on uncontroversial.
Quite or perhaps the OP doesn’t.
Monkeybusinesss · 07/08/2021 12:08

@FrangipaniDeLaSqueegeeMop
You’re in danger of derailing the thread!!!!!!

Marguerite2000 · 07/08/2021 12:08

Women in their 20s and early 30s are not 'vulnerable young girls'
Young women can decide to have sex without being groomed.
Yes, it is up to you to control what you eat and drink.

GreenTeaBlackCoffeeAndRedWine · 07/08/2021 12:08

Also not everyone can drive a car and always have one on hand to take their children to hospital at short notice

Faevern · 07/08/2021 12:09

That your family ate a whole chicken for dinner and threw the carcass in the bin.

burritofan · 07/08/2021 12:10

Ooh, link to the Soho house thread if you will – together with beach pebbles, that’s my afternoon sorted.
