Cruelty to children

I’ve just read the absolutely tragic story of Kaylee-Jayde Priest. I’ve just been crying my eyes out this evening over the loss of her very short life. She has hair just like my daughter,

I’d really like some recommendations on charities and organisations that try to make a real difference in cases such as these, so that I may make a donation etc.

Rest in peace little girl, I hope you will find the kindness, love and compassion you so deserve in heaven.

But they don't do any early intervention work, or any "good". They're just an additional step between the public and social services. Pointless.

@bluewanda I wished I hadn't watched that video heartbreaking, it's a pity the police didn't do more but i guess their hands are tied. That poor poor baby.

There’s a video of her now where she’s on Tik Tok a month after murdering her daughter and she’s miming to a record and just playing up to the camera. Prison is going to come as such a shock to this woman.

Did Nikki priest have low IQ? Watching tick tick videos doesn't seem all there and her flat is sparse. I thought you had to have an IQ over 90 generally to keep a baby.

Let's face it being a single mum of two under 3/4 on benefits would be a struggle to anyone let alone someone of low iQ

Be interesting to see what protective factors social services thought would justify her keeping those two kids. Guess will be in a serious case review at some point.

I think he had a baby though.

His dad was in media blaming it all on her and his son is too young and impressionable to do this. Absolutely horrendous, shameless stance from the dad of the perp.

The dad of the lad who took 1000 from her and then pocketed 400 for himself and he saw the state of his lovers daughters room.

How low are these people? How low and immoral and he stands by his son.

Yes apparently she's in bottom 20% for iq? Or even bottom 1% I can't remember but stated she has very low iq.

I'd also be extremely interested to know what the bar is for allowing dc to remain with people with low iq.
She was also in this car he brought with her saved up benefit money, stopped almost instantly by the police for reckless dangerous driving and no insurance it says the toddler and "baby" where in the car at the time???

Doesn't seem the brightest from those tick tocks more like age 11-12 than early 20s

Panicking IQ isnt a massive indicator of an ability to parent. I know a few families whose parents have severe learning difficulties. As in they attended special needs schools throughout. Some have surprised even me in how theyve managed to pass assessments and really thrived as a couple and in some cases single parents.

Sadly some people have a cruel streak, that isnt because of a low IQ its just in them. And their kids suffer because of it.

Not I, its been reported or claimed by her defence that he exploited her, he didn't pay her for sex though. He said he wanted a family car and persuaded her to save up to buy him one, 1000 of benefits, he took 400 for himself.

Obviously she's horrendous but him!
What a hideous low life... Morally corrupt and dad was defending him!

On her TicTok video after she mimes to a song about messing up there’s a series of snap shots of her and her daughter. On one the little girl is resting her head on a heavily pregnant stomach, which I assume is Priests. As for saving up £1000 of benefit money - that just illustrates my earlier posts. They shouldn’t be able to save that much from benefits.

And I would struggle to save £100 never mind £1000... there must have been something else going on I would think for her to have that much money

Regarding the benefits..

The benefits are supposed to give a basic level of life.
She certainly wasn't spending money on her daughter or her daughter room, what else wasn't she spending on? Apparently always short of food which is a huge expense.
In short I suspect she lowered her standard of living esp for her daughter to be able to save that money.

The dad of Redfern defending him - there are no words. At least Priest's mother has condemned her daughter for what she did.

I've read several stories about this case now and I don't know why I do it to myself because it makes me so upset. That poor little girl. Why didn't her grandparents intervene!? They must have known she wasn't happy at home.
It's just so tragic. Hope the evil bastards rot in jail tbh

@Sleepyquest on the issue of the grandparents - Kaylee's grandmother did report the mother to social services, but they seem to have been easily fobbed off sadly.

I watched the tik tok video and I’m honestly lost for words. She beat, or allowed her deadbeat boyfriend to beat, her 3 year old child to death and has the audacity to pretend to cry infront of the camera a MONTH later (obviously looking for sympathy and ‘likes’) and mime about how she ‘messed things up’ . She’s one of the most disgusting, self-absorbed people I think I’ve ever came across.

I'd have thought she would have been on sickness benefits for her to been able to save that amount.

Sorry, she was on tiktok a month after her daughters? Was she not on remand?

Same with Asiahs mother, people were saying she was applying to be a model a week after her daughters death, but there was pictures of her arriving at court on the 'prison truck' so clearly she was on remand also?

Baby Harrison, Kaylee's baby brother is in the custody of his father (not Kaylee's father or Redfern).
