Locked Parking Thread - The Actual End

This has been a wild ride made substantially more entertaining by DBs shenanigans but the end is in sight.

Hopefully by 8.35 the car will be free. I will be downing something alcoholic and next time the straw comes I'll make him bring it in by hand one bale at a time WITHOUT unlocking the gate!

I'm going to go for dignified and just let him out and convince myself that him moving it at all makes this a draw my victory. He no doubt will do the same and we'll both potter off happily into the sunset hopefully never to meet again!

If you open the door when he now arrives, you're letting him win.

Stop engaging with him and get it towed.

MinnieGirl · 03/08/2021 20:51

Lock up and turn the lights off. Put a do not disturb message in your phone. He’s had ample opportunity and he’s not listening to you.

Contact the FC tomorrow. They had an emergency and had to move his car before the tow company…. That way you don’t have to pay and it ends in your terms not his. Which will piss him off big time and you’ve got him off your back.

SunShinesBrightly · 03/08/2021 20:51

Around 8.30 is the earliest I can get there
So ‘sometime’ after 8.30...

Blamelesscars · 03/08/2021 20:51

OP don’t let him have it! You said 8:30 and he’s not there. He’s taken the piss and inconvenienced you. He clearly thinks you don’t matter in any of this and is arrogant enough to call your bluff so don’t let him have it back get it towed and let him deal with it.

Teach him a lesson in humility

Franklydear · 03/08/2021 20:51

@CrikeyPeg it’s 8.50 in uk

PerciphonePuma · 03/08/2021 20:51

@CrikeyPeg

Oooh crikey, is this live, so to speak? I've no idea where in the UK BlueEyes is and I can't tell by the posting times - it's 7.50am Wednesday here in New Zealand.
It's 8:51pm here. All of UK has same time zone
picklemewalnuts · 03/08/2021 20:51

Bless you, OP! You need to go to bed.

StoneofDestiny · 03/08/2021 20:52

It's 8.50 pm UK Crikeypeg

Bargebill19 · 03/08/2021 20:52

Yep. Tow it. But not before you’ve poured tuna juice in all the vents.

yellowsubmarines · 03/08/2021 20:52

You know he wouldn't pull this shite with the tow company and get away with it.
Tow Company: 'We are open 9am-6pm Mon-Sat. Closed all day Sundays.'
Dickhead: 'I'll collect at 9pm Tues.'
Tow Company: 'Noooo. We are open 9am-6pm Mon-Sat.'
Dickhead: 'I'll pick up Sunday. Just leave your premises open and I'll collect when it's convenient for me to be there.'
Tow Company: 'NOOO. We are closed all day Sundays and we will not leave our premises unsecured for you.'
Dickhead: 'I'll be there Monday the 23rd of Sept at 8am.'
Tow Company: 'We are open 9am-6pm and you have X number of days to collect your vehicle before we crush it and sell it for scrap.'
Dickhead: 'I'll do a late night drive by with my pose tonight at 10pm to steak out your premises.'
Tow Company: 'That'll be fine. If you survive that and come back during our open hours don't forget you will need to pay £X per day before collecting your vehicle.'
Dickhead: 'Moi?? Pay?? You should be grateful I'm allowing you to store The Ranger!!! Do you KNOW who my friend is?? He throws great parties!'
Tow Company: 'Be sure to turn up tonight with your mates and try to find a way to break in. It'll be fun for the dogs to play a game of catch.'

SecretKeeper1 · 03/08/2021 20:52

OP you said you had commitments after 8:30, stick to your commitments* or he’s totally won.

  • even if these commitments include turning all the lights off and hiding in a corner
Glumgal · 03/08/2021 20:52

@BlueEyesWhiteDragon

I am a bit at a loss. Tbh I should have just agreed 9pm. Don't know why I thought he'd go with a time I suggested. You can't reasonable with stupid unreasonable.

I really don't want it drag on. Its not in the way, but it is in the way if you know what I mean? But goddammit this has all been on his terms and I'm ...... irate. If I was emailing him I'd be signing off Regards. There would be no Kind!

Close all the curtains and take a good 10 mins to answer the door then just get rid I'd say!
DancesWithTortoises · 03/08/2021 20:52

Lock up, lights out.

ToffeePennie · 03/08/2021 20:52

Say fuck it. You’re in bed early usually anyway aren’t you? So screw him, have an early night and ensure you don’t answer when he inevitably shows up at 9am.
Leave an “I’ve gone to bed” auto message on your phone and call it quits.

RookieRoo · 03/08/2021 20:52

Text "this is taking the mick, I told you I could only do until 8, I kindly delayed plans until half past. It's now 20 plus minutes after that delay, I am no longer waiting. collect it from the tow company" don't engage with the dick any further.

Lougle · 03/08/2021 20:52

@ShamelessCurtainTwitcher

I’m starting to think this guy is being unreasonable.
😂
ScrambledSmegs · 03/08/2021 20:52

Get the fucker towed.

That is all.

Fortheloveofgodwhy · 03/08/2021 20:52

I genuinely think he needs a slow puncture, or 4… just enough to not get him home. And a kipper under the bonnet… shit around the door seals..

Artichokeleaves · 03/08/2021 20:52

And do take the photos so you can prove any damage didn't happen on your land. This man's got no conscience.

BlueEyesWhiteDragon · 03/08/2021 20:52

FFS.

I've messaged.

You aren't here ..... again. I will not be arranging a third collection you do not turn up to. It will be towed tomorrow

He's replied.

5 mins away. Got held up.

it's 7.50am Wednesday here in New Zealand.

I think we're 11 hours behind you here - the whole of the UK. It's 8:50pm here now.

Hugoslavia · 03/08/2021 20:53

Well, it's not entirely been on his own terms. He has been inconvenienced by firstly having to cycle home with his kids and then showing up at an unarranged time and having to get someone to give him a lift. That is why he is being a bit of an arse. So, he has been angered and inconvenienced, whereas you have been angered, entertained and well fed. So that definitely makes you the winner!

MeridianB · 03/08/2021 20:53

Totally agree with this.

And it's your bedtime @BlueEyesWhiteDragon.
