This has been a wild ride made substantially more entertaining by DBs shenanigans but the end is in sight.

Hopefully by 8.35 the car will be free. I will be downing something alcoholic and next time the straw comes I'll make him bring it in by hand one bale at a time WITHOUT unlocking the gate!

I'm going to go for dignified and just let him out and convince myself that him moving it at all makes this a draw my victory. He no doubt will do the same and we'll both potter off happily into the sunset hopefully never to meet again!

Is it actually a normal towing company who will take it back to their pound for him to pay and collect or the FC coming to move it with a very large, beefy vehicle not especially designed for vehicle recovery, after which he will need a Luton van (and possibly a leaf vac) to take away all of the leftover parts?

Can you contact the FC tomorrow and ask them if they are able to come and move it now?

If the tow company come for 5pm but he turns up just before, will you still be charged?

He needs to put more effort in, if he can’t find a lift he can cycle there. We know his bike fits in the car.

Tow it to an unknown destination and geo cache about 50 clues to get to it.

That's a good shout- tell them you're getting it towed at 5pm unless they want first crack at it, they might show up early doors and move it for you
