I wanted 3. I've got 2.

Wanted 3. Had 0.
I think I would have been a good Mum.

Never thought about it, DD turned up. DS I tried for. Never wanted any more dc.

Realised we couldn't afford 4 so stopped at 2. I'm fine with it now but ummed and aahed and wondered if we made a mistake. Then a couple of friends started having no 3 and realised we hadn't made a mistake.

Always wanted one until he was born and then wanted a second. XH didn't want to know so thought I was done. Met DH who is younger than me so went on to have two more after a 16yr gap. Wouldn't change a thing.

Wanted 4 because I envied the big families we knew growing up, however financially and with our spare time realised we wouldnt be able to give them the type of life we wanted to give our children. So we have 2 very lovely dc and are very happy with our decision.
Also since growing up Ive realised that the bigger families I had idolised as a child really werent as great as I had thought and as adults they dont have the lovely lives I thought they had

I wanted 3, and I have 3. I've been very fortunate.

At times I've thought that four would've been nice but I'm well aware that it would've broken me and I know my limits.

Had 2 MMC so we gave up trying (DS1 was already 8/9 so didn't want any bigger age gap)

There are many reasons I don't have 6

I would have liked 3 or 4, and still like the idea of that, but it would have been under different circumstances: husband present, involved grand parents.

ExH said we could have 2, which I agreed to, but then didn't want a second child after DS. So my family life is very different to what I imagined, but DS is my greatest joy, so am grateful for him.

I wasn't sure initially but really wanted a family. I have had 3 children and have 2 living.

I just knew I wanted children. After each baby I wanted more, and definitely the more you have the easier it is 😍 I have 4 now and too old for any more sadly

Although there's a time after my 3rd child when I swore id never have another. I really struggled going from 2 to 3. 6yrs later decided I would regret it if I didn't have a 4th so went for it. I'm glad I did but I'm also DEFINITELY done :D

Sometimes have a little daydream about how easy it would be with 1.

I always thought I would have more than one. But I've got one. The most wonderful DS who makes me howl with laughter. I'm so lucky to have him.

Same OP - wanted 3, have 2.

DH just couldn't be persuaded on a third, and tbf I am very happy with my gorgeous pair.

I'd have liked 3 but youngest is now 9 and I've had a couple of issues so it was never the right time. Too late now x
