How many kids did you want v's how many you have

I wanted 3. I've got 2.

I have 2 and I would like another but I just can't face another induce labour, near death experience for what could be a right little sod like my first. He never slept and I was a zombie for about 3 years. If I could 100% guarantee another like my second who practically puts herself to bed and sleeps through the night, then I would.
That said, I'm content with my 2 happy, healthy babies as at 41, I like my sleep.

Wanted 2 or 3, got 1. Swing between sadness that I'll never have the dd I always thought I'd have, happy that I have a fabulous ds and guilt that he is growing up an only child when I remember the fun I had with my sister on holidays and at Christmas etc.

Pre children I thought I wanted 4. When I had 2, I realised time and financial resources made that difficult so decided third would be last. No 3 has been exceptionally hard work so very glad we stopped there. The dog is my fourth child and the unexpected light of my life 😂.

Wanted 3 but have 1 and one due mid September
I won't be having anymore 2 will be plenty for us

Before DS was born I wanted 3. After having DS and realising how tough parenting is I didn't want any more. I stuck with one.

Wanted 3. Had 1. Could have more but turns out I am one and done!

Wanted two, had two. That was enough for me. Found it tough until they were about 10, but they've grown up to be lovely (rarely moody!) teenagers. Love them to bits!

Wanted 2 or 3, I have 1 and another 1 on the way and I'm definitely done.. can't deal with 1st trimester again and I think 2 new born experiences will be enough for me to endure

Wanted 2 or 3, have 2 and remain very undecided about whether to go for number 3 or not. So many sensible reasons not to but I can’t get rid of that pang for one more.

I'd have loved to have several dozen newborns, I just adore that stage .
But nobody sane needs more than four teenagers.

I wanted a football team. However I changed my mind when I had DD. It’s because she was that easy and slept so well for me that I thought I’m not rocking the boat. I thought I may have changed my mind , but I’ve never had an ounce of broodiness since I had DD.

Wanted 3. Have 2. Definitely don't want another now tho.

I wanted 6. Got 1 after years. Ttc for no 2 but it’s not going well.

I'm the oldest of 6 and I liked the idea of a big family, 6 or 7. We married young so we thought we'd have lots of time.
As it happened we weren't able to have any. We eventually adopted a boy and a girl and now I'm in my 50s with 2 teenagers and am grateful there's only 2 of them.

Wanted 2 only have 1 after 5 years of trying for a second and 2 miscarriages I don't think it will happen and it is making me miserable
