How many kids did you want v's how many you have

I wanted 3. I've got 2.

Before having kids, I wanted four. Now I’ve had DS, I’ll be happy with 3 - he is the best kid but I hate being pregnant.

Wanted 2 or 3, got 1.

Wanted 2, have 1 and pregnant with #2 :)

Wanted 4, had 4.

Wanted three, but just have one.

Wanted a big family, got 0. Fertility is a kick in the teeth.

Wanted 2 or 3, have 1 and currently single so not sure I'll have anymore.

I wanted 3 and have 4 (baby #3 turned out to be twins )

Wanted 0.

Had 0.

Wanted five have two. Money is a consideration, as is my age. I also can't face pregnancy and labour again.

Wanted 2 until a few years ago, now want 0 and have 0.

Vasectomy is booked.

Wanted always been unsure. Told 0 by medical profession, have 2😂 one very very unexpected (went into shock when I found out) the other hoped for but happy and definitely no more for health reasons and no more nappies 🤣

Wanted 2, have 1. Secondary infertility.

However, I'm now glad to have only one, and would choose to have just the one if I could start all over again. Think I only really wanted two because it seemed like the done thing, but there are so many advantages to having only one!

Wanted 3, had 3. Was still immensely broody after first two, the moment I'd had no. 3 it all went away and I have never looked at a baby and felt broody since.

Wanted 5, have 3 via fertility treatment and was told couldn't try again because of my bodies reaction to the fertility drugs. I'm so lucky to have the 3 I have (I was told it may never happen).

Wanted none, but (lots of ) wine and me being too busy to track my periods had other ideas! So have one.

She’s off to school next month. I survived the baby years!

Oh why I was never broody till I couldn’t have anymore. It’s like an amazing fantasy world that I dream about for about a minute before a hand a newborn back.

Wasn't sure, 2 maybe but when I was pregnant, I couldn't imagine never carrying another baby and decided that I might want 4. Stopped at 1, just never got that strong urge again. I'm 44 now and divorced so it's unlikely and my DP doesn't want kids.

DS is happy to be an only child, he's a teenager now and I have a feeling he'd be really embarrassed if his mum got pregnant lol. We've got 2 cats though and thinking of getting another

Had 1 when I was young so hadn’t thought about how many I might like.

Only had 1 in total in the end. Would have liked a lot more. Now ‘making do’ with the grandchildren

DH just couldn't be persuaded on a third, and tbf I am very happy with my gorgeous pair.

I honestly wanted 5 for a long time, love the idea of a big family. Have 2 and got sterilised. I suffer with HG and my 2nd baby (8 months currently) has totally broken me. No more and I now cannot imagine more than 2.
