I wanted 3. I've got 2.

Wanted two got two, adults now.. have dog instead which ticks every box and no back chat

Wanted three, lucky to have one, so wish I could have had more, but couldn’t mentally handle any more losses(3) got really annoyed when another Mum recently commented ‘ all these selfish ‘ only kids mum’s! ) I don’t know of any Mum that actually only wanted one, felt incredibly sad not able to give my child a sibling xx

There are loads, and loads of parents who want one child, even if they aren’t in your social circle.

There’s also a stigma against openly saying you want one child, because of the ‘gosh that’s so selfish, they’ll be lonely, they won’t have anyone to share the burden when you die’ nonsense, so it might well be that you do know people who want one kid but who feel like they have to say otherwise.

Wanted lots. Have one and a DSD.

None, but got one! One too many!! 🤣

None and none. Acquired a couple of stepchildren, though.

Love them, but absolutely reinforced my decision not to have any.

Wanted 4 have 8.
4 girls and 4 boys

Wanted 3 had 3 I'm very blessed

Wanted 5, had 5. Then got broody again and had #6.

Have 2, initially wanted 3 but glad we stopped at 2 now

Wanted 4. Have 2. Had hyperemesis and was hospitalised. Nearly died. More was not an option. I am so grateful for 2.

I wanted 1 I have 1. Although I get constant questions about baby number 2.

Sometimes I think blimey life would be easier with two. Other times I want a fourth. But we are sticking with three.

Wanted 1 or 2 but got 0. Currently my dog fills that gap and is far easier than a toddler but I don't think this will always be the case 😢

Wanted 4 and have 2. If circumstances were different I’d have had more. But grateful for the 2 I have, whilst still a bit sad I’m almost certain I won’t have more.

I wanted 4 but ended up having IVF and have the 1. I have two step sons. I wish I could have more but IVF was such along journey.
