Why do people put these stickers on their car?

I was just following a car that had two stickers on the back - one saying "kiss my arse" and a Betty Boop cartoon with her bum exposed, and the other saying "you've just been overtaken by a girl". (See attached pics if interested).

Is it just me, or is this incredibly tacky? I mean, the "baby on board" stuff doesn't bother me. But why oh why does anyone need to announce that they are female for the benefit of the car they have overtaken? Doesn't this just perpetuate silly gender stereotypes about women drivers? And why tell a random stranger behind you to "kiss your arse"? Is that really necessary?

Do you have such slogans on your car? If so, please could you explain why, so that I can put this issue to bed and move on with my day.

(I've been disproportionately irritated by this today - can you tell...?)

@Batsy actually no, but I am a member of Hampshire ST'S, Rolling Oval and UKFOC and they're all inclusive and lovely groups

I saw one once that said "if you can read this I've lost my caravan". I thought that was funny.

I have a baby on board sticker to let people know I will be driving at or below the speed limit. Still get wankers driving up my butt though.

If you are driving below the speed limit then perhaps you should not be on the road.... I agree the speed limit is not a target however if the road ahead is clear you should be driving at or very near the speed limit. Driving slower than the advertised speed limit can be as dangerous as driving over the speed limit, sometimes more so.

Please say you aren't one of "those" drivers who do 50mph on the motorway?

I would hazard a guess that it would invite attention and not necessarily the type you would want. Some blokes would think that a woman driving a car with sticker saying 'kiss my arse' would think she is fair game. Not great if you are out on the road late at night....

@alwayswrighty no, I don’t really do anything, except Facebook groups. I’m on an ST Facebook group where they tell you about additions and stuff you can add. She’s booked in for October for the bonnet vents. X

🤣 I have a campervan which has stickers as per tradition really. Nothing which belittles being female though. I find those tacky AF and just a bit dim. What's being female got to do with overtaking? Does that require a willy? 🤣

Mine are more about charity camper van convoy drives which I've been part of and the main camper group/community of which I'm a member ❤🤙🏻 (that's the traditional VW camper wave 👈)

Mine has "Zombie Apocalypse Response Vehicle" on the bumper and it pleases me immensely 😊
