To think loose women is awful

I'm not a regular watcher, happened to be on today when I was feeding my baby and couldn't reach the remote.

I couldn't help but think it really is bloody awful. Four women swooning over men. Would be completely inappropriate if it was a panel of four men doing the same to one women. They then discussed wether the the name 'grandma' is offensive whilst one of them dressed in a headscarf, cardigan and had knitting needles in her hand

They also discussed the Wayne Rooney saga and as is the case any other time I've caught some of it, they just go over and over their own marriage break downs etc. Is there really nothing else they could put on the tv!?

If Colleen Nolan wrote her memoirs it would be a bloody panflet. Her second favourite topic after her divorce(s?) is being in the Nolan sisters. I wouldn't normally be so scathing but given the things she has said about people I don't think it's too bad.

My youngest DS always says if it was a panel of men it would be chucked off the air after one episode and he speculates as to the “best” (ie most controversial) man panel he could have. I believe his conclusion was Trump, Jeremy Clarkson, Gordon Ramsay and Piers Morgan.

ITV is the television equivalent of a crappy magazine like Take a Break.

The fact that all the advert during the break are Foxy Bingo and Pink Bingo should be a warning sign.

I agree, shite tv,I wasn’t aware it was still on but it became so cringe worthy. I think it somehow lost its way.Carol Mcgiffin used to spark up a healthy debate back in the early shows.

I did watch it till the Euros started one of the regulars came out dressed as an England fan going on like an utter fool. They were all in agreement with him. Yet another pile of Anglo centric crap

They're all hypocrites! Gossiping about other people's marriages going down the pan when most of them are on husband number 2, 3 or 4!

I saw it once when the ghastly Nadia Sawalha was talking about how she used to judge her sister's boyfriends, and decide on her behalf whether or not they were good enough for her. If she took a dislike to them for any reason she would chase them away (or pay them to leave).

But Nadia herself is married to a raging alcoholic!

What a horrible comment. I’ve never watched it but as an alcoholic in recovery I looked him up, and they’ve talked about his recovery and their marriage, including counselling. So your sneery alkie comment is misjudged and wrong.

It was not exactly high brow when it started but it had a bit of a go at debate and covering current affairs. I have not watched it for years and I am surprised it continues but there must be a market for it. The same with This Morning. Even back when it started (and I was a student) everyone one took the piss a bit but looking back at it then compared to now it has really dumbed down. At least Richard and more so Judy were intelligent and experienced journalists. I was also very fond of Fern Britten. ITV's choice daytime presenters shows what they really think of their audience. I work normal 9-5 now and even when at home at least we now can stream and use catch-up.

It is what it is just some pleasant daytime tv - rather them than that horror Lorraine Kelly on a morning!

That video clip was just horrible. It’s childish – the smirks, the baiting, the faux innocent/incredulous laughing – not like a group of professional journalists and broadcasters. Just horrible.

I didn't ever see any of the BB that they were referring to, but Kim seemed pretty horrible on that clip. There's assertive, and there's aggressive, and she was pretty aggressive.

Janet Street Porter is just an unpleasant bully who talks nonsense, but apparently she's a high brow intellect because she lasted as an editor of a newspaper for a few months decades ago.

Jane Moore seems decent but I struggle to see how someone who is a journalist for The Sun can be taken seriously as a professional.

Collen Nolan is a homophobic bigot.

I think a few years ago they tried to rebrand it and they got rid of most of the gobshites. Clearly it didn't last as they all came crawling back and the show is worse than ever.

I also wonder whether they were told in the past to hold a certain opinion, in order to create debate. Now they just talk shite and bring their personal lives into everything - why on earth do they think we want to know about your husband's toilet habits?!

I have seen its sponsored by Jackpot Joy Bingo and those indents are unwatchable. Four grown women laughing like hyenas at the slightest innuendo, behaving like a gang of 14 year old girls drunk on alcopops. Hugely insulting to women.

Loose women is utterly drivel they had Charlene' white the news reader on for a while I liked her. I won't slag them off because that would be as bad as them, but Nadia makes me want to throw things at the telly.
