To think loose women is awful

I'm not a regular watcher, happened to be on today when I was feeding my baby and couldn't reach the remote.

I couldn't help but think it really is bloody awful. Four women swooning over men. Would be completely inappropriate if it was a panel of four men doing the same to one women. They then discussed wether the the name 'grandma' is offensive whilst one of them dressed in a headscarf, cardigan and had knitting needles in her hand Confused

They also discussed the Wayne Rooney saga and as is the case any other time I've caught some of it, they just go over and over their own marriage break downs etc. Is there really nothing else they could put on the tv!?

I'm old enough to remember Watch with Mother in black and white and frankly that would be better viewing that LW. Hell even the old BBC test card would be better viewing that the bilge that is LW.

Sour faced Lynda Robson is enough to stop me watching.

It's almost GB News light. Well, where exactly is GB News now anyway? So much Ill-informed nonsense being spewed out at high volume, high emotion. No meaningful conversation, interaction. Just assume your position and shout. It is such a degradation of public discourse. It's obnoxious, it's deliberately misleading. It's corrosive.

@Rosewaterblossom

I'm not sure who their target audience is tbh. When it started they were all 30s/40s but now, with exception of a few (frankie, Stacey Solomon,) they appears to be 50+ and I can't relate..

I am 50+ and I don't relate. I find it cringely embarrassing, like unbearably so.
Colleen Nolan is a thoroughly unpleasant human being.

They are so awful, it sort of makes me feel a certain sympathy with the idea of reintroducing the ‘scold’s bridle’.

It makes me angry that women are given their own show and this utter shite is the best they can up with. I find it insulting.

I hate this show. Wasn’t too bad when it started but the title is awful. I think the whole show is an embarrassment to women. Could’ve been so good - a talk show where the panel members are all female, talking about current affairs/ debating etc. Instead we get a group of bitchy, uneducated women who think they are cleverer than they are, spouting utter dross. And yes to the cringed fawning over any male guest they have on the show, who are often half their age… yuk!

Coleen Nolan is also the "agony aunt" for the Daily Mirror. Shock

It needs to go, along with a few other day time programmes. I know Colleen Nolan has been mentioned a few times on here, but I really do find her deeply hypocritical. Don't want to start a debate about something controversial, but she had an abortion for social reasons when she was about 16, then says the most offensive things about people (like me) who have had a termination for medical reasons. I've found other things they've said really offensive too, such as their views on people who 'only' have one child. Luckily I went back to work 4 years ago so haven't tortured myself by watching it since then!

Its just about the worst programme ever. I watched it when it first started and it was annoying enough then. And Coleen Nolan an agony sunt with her disaster relationships that she's always on about. Confused

@Iliketequilatoomuch

It is awful. It's completely dated and needs a massive shake up.

I used to like Kaye Adams, as she seems the only professional one there with any TV charisma and personality, but the last time I watched it, she was talking to Sam Fox and her fiancée or wife (can't remember if they were already married) and at the end of the interview said, with a very patronising tone "oh, lovely.. they're just like a couple" Hmm Ya think?!

Stacey Solomon comes across as really fake. She can have a normal expression one minute, but when she checks the monitor and sees she's on the screen, her shoulders shoot up and she beams like a Cheshire cat! I think she's probably quite nice in rl, but feels the need to put on this princessy, super happy, facade.

That aside though, the topics of discussion are DONE TO DEATH! Women do talk about other things besides menopause and incontinence! They keep saying they're "breaking the stigma", but in reality they just like bringing up the same old shit over and over again.

In fact, it should be called Same Old Shit.

I’m surprised Jane Moore & Gloria Hunniford are on the show, 2 intelligent women stooping so low.

I just can’t watch any of the ITV daytime trash. Especially with what goes on behind the scenes.

They can’t be controversial and can’t come across as too intelligent because they have to appeal to the daytime market so there’s this veneer of, ‘we tell it like it is’ etc. but in reality it’s really banal.

I had the misfortune of watching this shite the other week. Linda Robson was telling a story about how her and her husband had had sex the night before and had broken the bed Confused apart from it putting me off my Tuna Mayo in granary I didn't want to know! It was like listening to your mum telling you that she'd had a good shag the night before!!

Utter tripe, and a wasted opportunity for an all women panel show to be of real value. Hated what they did to Kim, the phrase true colours springs to mind.
