@HoliHormonalTigerlilly

Too much white?
Definitely. Dye it black. But tie dye. Make sure you leave a few white rings. And add a denim scrunchie and dungarees over the top, It's the 80s again yano 🤣
Trampslikeu · 25/07/2021 23:46

and a standout handbag!

RightYesButNo · 26/07/2021 00:16

@VanGoSunflowers

I dunno, OP. I think it’s a little too casual.

I’d add a hat - maybe like this one?

Don’t be so completely ridiculous, @VanGoSunflowers!

THIS is the hat you want, OP. Best write to the Vatican now, so they can loan it to you and pop it in the post. Especially if they ship via Hermes, as it’ll take fuck all forever PLUS two business days to get here.

Surprised by the replies saying it's too bridal. I really don't see that at all.

Averyyounggrandmaofsix · 26/07/2021 06:05

I don't understand this thread, it's called a wedding dress so where else would you wear it?

ShadowInVain · 26/07/2021 06:56

@Trampslikeu

and a standout handbag!
You've nailed it - eye-catching but practical - you'll easily fit all your essentials in that one.
Newestname001 · 26/07/2021 07:04

@viques

I think it’s lovely, and the best thing is you will be able to wear it to loads more events without anyone thinking “Blimey, she look overdressed for a bbq/ parents evening/ christening/ park run/ girls lunch/ supermarket shop/mil funeral.”

🤣🤣😂 I'm LOVING this thread!!

Newestname001 · 26/07/2021 07:06

@CatOfTheLand

Or if you're set on wearing white with a red colour pop, this is nice:

Oh my word - that dress is a vagina dress! 😮

Foxhasbigsocks · 26/07/2021 08:16

I’ve made my dp cry with laughter reading this thread out to him

MinnieMountain · 26/07/2021 08:47

Don’t wear a fascinator with it. Hideous things.

merrymouse · 26/07/2021 08:55

www.chocolateweddingcakes.co.uk/

This site seems to provide ‘BYO’ cake to bring to a wedding if you are sadly fruitcake intolerant. Would be thoughtful to leave the cake on a sideboard somewhere near the front so other FC intolerant guests know it’s there - just ask the venue for a knife.

Mummyratbag · 26/07/2021 09:47

Many years ago it was traditional to wear white to a wedding as it confused the devil (decoys). I think finding out the guest list and reminding everyone to do so would be a very kind thing. Would relieve the bride of a job too...

FelicityBeedle · 26/07/2021 09:58

@chunderwunder
I’ve read about weddings where the bride encouraged her guests to wear their old wedding dresses as they were only worn once, perfect for where’s Wally pictures.

(Sadly I think I’m those cases the brides wear a different colour)

SmokeyDevil · 26/07/2021 10:01

@TheNextCaroleMiddleton

Maybe ditch the veil but then you are golden 👍
No she needs a longer veil!
Houseofvelour · 26/07/2021 10:35

You'll have to take a limo to the wedding. You wouldn't want to damage the dress being cramped in an Uber

Sadiecow · 26/07/2021 12:45

@LtDansleg

If you wear that to a wedding even the cake will be in tiers
😂 😂

Ignore those saying no OP! It's fab!

KormasABitch · 26/07/2021 15:39

@Trampslikeu

This one is very modern
She does a wee bit cold, though, poor love.

Mind you, you'd never need a toilet break, you could piss into that straw, so in that sense very practical.

Movinghouseatlast · 26/07/2021 15:42

Yes of course. People who say no are just being precious!

Meraas · 26/07/2021 15:58

@Twickerhun

Me thinks, if you need to ask, this might not be the place for you

No need to be a 'you can't sit with us' Mean Girl just because the poster missed a thread.

SpindleWhorl · 26/07/2021 16:04

Just think what that dress would weigh after a champagne reception. A built-in work out!

DeflatedGinDrinker · 26/07/2021 16:58

Is it ok to wear a dress that looks like a wedding dress to a wedding? I'd say no 😂😂😂😂😂

Makes sense. If only, at this point in history, we still spent every wedding playing Where’s Wally with the devil. Sigh.
MyShoelaceIsUndone · 26/07/2021 17:04

Definitely with the veil. If the bride is jealous tough 😂
