Tbh I’m not a big fan of that style of skirt . How are you supposed to walk?

Or maybe your plan is to be carried in on a throne by fit young men in tight leopard print things? Then you could wear these

worktrip · 25/07/2021 22:51

No you look too much like the bride (serious face)

Couchbettato · 25/07/2021 22:53

If you're looking for a pop of red to accessorise with might I suggest the blood of thine enemies?

merrymouse · 25/07/2021 22:56

@Ohdofuckofdear

No not to much white if anything not enough White!

How do you feel about dying your hair white to match the dress?

Some great inspo pics in this article. White/grey hair is still having a moment!!

ZeusandClio · 25/07/2021 22:59

Perfect for Mother of the Groom I think. Just get some pretty flowers to go with it. 💐

LadyGAgain · 25/07/2021 23:00

It's fabulous Darh-linnng! And those choos are divine. Make sure you wear a very blingy large diamond rock on your left ring finger and a hint of something blue. The bride will certainly appreciate you making such an effort. Have a great day!

Trampslikeu · 25/07/2021 23:00

This one is very modern

@jayho

I think it's perfect although @londonmummy1966* may have a point.

When you make a speech I think it will probably be important to make it from the bride's POV. Give advice on the first night nuptials - based on your lived experience. Share the key points in the decline of your relationship so that she can benefit from your advice and learn. It all sounds adorable and sooooo modern smile*

Ooo yes. With a photo montage too

That’s one way to put it 🤣

BloomingTrees · 25/07/2021 23:06

You say you don't have a partner, is your dad available to accompany you?
You wouldn't want to arrive in church alone.

comebacksunshines · 25/07/2021 23:08

you'll look gorjuss hun 😘

Mumoftwoinprimary · 25/07/2021 23:09

I don’t think white is appropriate. Black is the opposite to white so obviously the most appropriate. And a big hat with a veil. (To hide how stunningly beautiful you are and so avoid upstaging the bride.) And six inch heels (to make you taller to ensure that you can see.)

FloreanFortescue · 25/07/2021 23:10

A bouquet of flowers would set the whole thing off beautifully 👌🏼

Perfection! Especially for a true beauty who would look divine even wrapped with a bin bag! Very on point ecologically correct. Breathtaking!
merrymouse · 25/07/2021 23:15

Probably best not to bother the bride and groom on their special day, but do you have a special diet? If so you might want to think about bringing your own cake? Really helpful to bring plenty to share.

gotalottolose · 25/07/2021 23:18

This is how I dress for weddings. And I weep uncontrollably through the vows. When they’re pronounced man and wife or spouses, I throw myself on the floor and wail.

HaroldTheHare · 25/07/2021 23:28

Absolutely not, it's not even nearly formal enough - it's a wedding you're going to, not a barn dance!

Summerfun54321 · 25/07/2021 23:31

It’s perfect. It’s from the new Asda George range isn’t it?

Not sure why but that one got me 😂

TalesOfDrunkennessAndCruelty · 25/07/2021 23:31

Well, evidently weddings have become a great deal more casual since the hubz and I got married

Erwhatno · 25/07/2021 23:33

Only if you Spotify something nice and classy as you enter the church. I’m thinking vivaldi. Do it loud for the dears at the back. Dress as pretty as that, would be a shame for people to miss your entrance. Take your time down that aisle too, you don’t want to rip that skirt.

MoominFeatures · 25/07/2021 23:33

Oh, how exciting, you’re going to look absolutely stunning! After the amount of investment in this thread, there will surely be interest in seeing the finished article - perhaps your plus 1 could take along a camera to take some snaps of you throughout the day so you can show us all afterwards? Please please please.

Also, weddings are often an awfully long day. Don’t forget to take along some snacks to keep your energy levels high. IME cake is excellent for keeping sugar levels up but I imagine you’ll need to take along a couple or three tiers of it as there’ll probs be guests who won’t have remembered to bring their own, so I imagine you’ll end up sharing. So take a decent cake knife, too. Sugared almonds are also a good option.

chunderwunder · 25/07/2021 23:34

I don't know why everyone doesn't dress as a bride at weddings tbh. Make the pictures more interesting - having to guess who got hitched. Like Where's Wally - the Wedding edition.

DrManhattan · 25/07/2021 23:35

Nah too basic, unless you add some flowers a la Carol Baskin / Aunt Sally
