I've laughed so much at this thread that I even dreamed last night that I was wearing one of these dresses. 🤩

nannygoat50 · 26/07/2021 17:27

Are you being serious??!!! That’s a brides dress. I’d be furious if you wore that to my wedding . You are a guest not the bride !

DianeCherry · 26/07/2021 17:32

Joke, right?

Leedsfan247 · 26/07/2021 17:32

Assume this is a poor attempt at humour?

It’s a wedding dress??????

I honestly think its fine to wear white to a wedding these days. Must be OK if the Duchess of Cambridge did it.

You're right, this really should be in Style and Beauty.

pam290358 · 26/07/2021 17:36

Is this a joke ? If you turned up at my wedding dressed like this you’d be ejected - red shoes or not !!!

LittleMissPlant · 26/07/2021 17:37

Absolutely not. I mean…if you had to ask the question then surely you know the answer.

Wearing white is such an attention seeking thing for a guest to do at a wedding.

Additionally - this style is the same.

peppermintpat · 26/07/2021 17:37

With Crocs and you'll be fine.

caspersmagicaljourney · 26/07/2021 17:38

Perhaps I'm being old fashioned here, but wouldn't that dress upstage the bride?
Just saying😬

dsire74 · 26/07/2021 17:38

@HoliHormonalTigerlilly

Too much white?
This has to be your ex's wedding 😳
Ari202 · 26/07/2021 17:38

It’s a wedding dress… for the bride.
Don’t be that person Hmm

August1980 · 26/07/2021 17:44

It’s not appropriate at all!
Why don’t you try red carpets outfits in the search box instead? A bridal gown when you are not the bride is inappropriate no matter how you style it!

Kittysummer · 26/07/2021 17:45

Never wear white to a wedding and definitely not red as it means you slept with the groom

BabyElephant2 · 26/07/2021 17:45

Of course it’s ok for a wedding guest. Can I come as your +1? I’ll bring popcorn?

SpindleWhorl · 26/07/2021 17:47

Is it the jewellery?
AwaAnBileYerHeid · 26/07/2021 17:47

Am I missing a post that this is parodying or something...?

Linnette49 · 26/07/2021 17:47

Is picture supposed to be of a wedding dress? If it is then as a guest..NO.

SiSiSi · 26/07/2021 17:49

To really give yourself The Edge you need to get there super early and find the furthest forward aisle seat.

There are some real Dim Jim's on this thread.

Harleyband · 26/07/2021 17:52

Understated and elegant. Perfect. Why do all these PP think you might upstage the bride?

Howdidigetsoold · 26/07/2021 17:54

I think you should see if the MIL will wear something similar as well

MrsCatE · 26/07/2021 17:55

I’ve changed my mind about possibly adding an embellished Shrug in case it’s chilly /?for the evening ‘do’.

I now recommend you change into another dress for the reception; keep the colour but perhaps think about would fit into your Clutch? I would recommend a BodyCon short Lycra dress - cut from ‘there’ to your nethers. Luckily, pop of red Stilettos will go with both outfits!

smilingontheinside · 26/07/2021 17:56

@Kittysummer she has slept with the groom so red shoes are fine 🤣

bondgirl76 · 26/07/2021 17:59

Its a wedding dress fgs.Are you mad

Diva66 · 26/07/2021 18:01

You’ll be fine, just make sure you’re in all the photos, doing a thumbs up.
