MIL???? yours actually did this? 😱

SpindleWhorl · 25/07/2021 20:15

@TrixieThunder

It’s okay but a bit ‘meh’. I think something like this would be more appropriate if I’m honest.
£64.26. Controversially expensive.
Hellodarknessmyoldpal · 25/07/2021 20:16

I'd worry you would blend into the background too much. Your suggestion of a pop of colour may work, or a wee bunch of flowers to cheer it up a bit. Or if any of your besties are going ask if they'd be up for wearing dresses in a similar colour and style (to each other of course, not you). That would compliment your outfit perfectly. Have a lovely time Flowers

pleasedonttextmyman · 25/07/2021 20:17

Not appropriate for a guest,
that's a Mother In Law's outfit surely.

babbaloushka · 25/07/2021 20:17

Maybe a push up bra under the top? Just to make sure you stand out and look your best.

You could get a little one some cut up tissue paper to throw over you for a lovely affect. Make sure you stand at the front in photos.

VanGoSunflowers · 25/07/2021 20:17

I dunno, OP. I think it’s a little too casual.

I’d add a hat - maybe like this one?

It's no see through enough OP, is there a layer underneath the main dress you can cut out ? Grin

Iamthewombat · 25/07/2021 20:17

Stop trying to out do the bridge

No! Don’t fade into the background. YOLO, one life to live etc.

Accessorise with a steel suspension and some pillars. And some lights.

Misspacorabanne · 25/07/2021 20:17

If you decide on converse with that dress op... How about getting the date put on your shoes! Or perhaps 'i do'....
I think you'll look great! Grin

VanGoSunflowers · 25/07/2021 20:17

Oh and don’t forget a tie.

123rd · 25/07/2021 20:17

Yeap.

SarahBellam · 25/07/2021 20:17

You’ll be needing a pashmina.

I’m with VanGo on this. That is beautiful and will sit really well with that gorgeous dress. Unstated enough that you won’t steal the bride’s thunder but just enough to set you apart from the crowds.

Absolutely agree @Iamthewombat perhaps OP could incorporate warning lights into her outfit accompanied by ‘whoop, whoop’ sirens / clanging bells? When triggered she could do a headstand with splits - to mime the bridge is open.
Futureself · 25/07/2021 20:28

Lady. You must know you cannot wear white to a wedding. You would offend everyone. I have attached a much more suitable dress.

Staffy1 · 25/07/2021 20:28

Yes, but a bit plain and dowdy. You need a glittery, light up tiara as well.

dontdillydallytoolong · 25/07/2021 20:28

It needs flashing fairy lights (Alice - Vicar of Dibley)

TiredMummyZZZ · 25/07/2021 20:28

Don’t forget a garter!

amatsip · 25/07/2021 20:31

Why don’t you stand at the altar with ex DJ’s bride to be to keep her company

amatsip · 25/07/2021 20:31

*dh’s
