🤣🤣🤣

bruffin · 27/07/2021 08:05

@JuneJuly

Is this thread mocking another specific thread? ('cos if it is I'd love to read it - linky anyone?) Or is it just a piss-take of these kinds of threads in general?
Think it wad thus thread, perfectly ok dress nothing bridal about, but a load of posters still say its too white But this was not the first abd it wont be the last
Redsquirrel5 · 27/07/2021 08:32

Reminds me of the episode of the Derry Girls

sassle · 27/07/2021 09:11

This has to be a joke???? No it’s not ok why would you go to a wedding in a bridal dress🧐🤪🤪🤪🤪

TonysMrs · 27/07/2021 09:16

If I was the bride (or any of the brides close family / circle) I would be seriously pissed if one of the guests turned up in that. I mean it's a wedding dress for god's sake. I presume that this is some sort of joke. How weird that you would even think of wearing a wedding dress to someone else's wedding or are you just trying to drop serious hints to your SO??????

VanGoSunflowers · 27/07/2021 09:22

🤦‍♀️

SpindleWhorl · 27/07/2021 09:26

And still they come ...

pleasedonttextmyman · 27/07/2021 09:27

if you have to ASK... pick something else.
Sorted.

Ninkanink · 27/07/2021 09:36

It’s just a piss-take on the many, many, many threads on this.

RogueMnerHidesUnderABigHat · 27/07/2021 09:43

@SpindleWhorl

And still they come ...
Theyre the most entertaining thing about the thread!
Ninkanink · 27/07/2021 09:46

Entertaining...but really quite frightening.

(I’m hoping they’re just double bluffing)

SunSeaSurfGin · 27/07/2021 09:47

@Anyusernameleft

'Arrive last obvs. You don't want to cause trouble in the car park.'

But maybe though you should enter the church/venue just before the bride (when the music begins) as it would be rude to be after her & therefore late (v rude!). Obviously walk elegantly & gracefully down the aisle (think gliding slowly & serenely & you have it) as rushing to a seat is unbecoming...& also go right up to the top....after all you are family & likely there will be a seat just waiting for you. 🤣

Alternatively you accept that you'll miss most of the service and walk in just as the vicar asks if anyone has any objections to the marriage
Shell4429 · 27/07/2021 10:47

WTAF? Why would you wear a bridal gown to someone else’s wedding? You will look like Miss Havisham and people will give you odd looks all day! This is a wind up surely?

merrymouse · 27/07/2021 10:56

You will look like Miss Havisham

And?

Anotherlovelybitofsquirrel · 27/07/2021 10:58

@Shell4429

Jeez, you think?! 🙄

Being on the autistic spectrum it’s sometimes hard for me to spot what may be obvious to others.

SpindleWhorl · 27/07/2021 11:09

But it's been been mentioned throughout the thread that it's obviously a joke, based on other recurring threads on the same theme, @Shell4429. So it's pretty obvious.

bruffin · 27/07/2021 11:16

Sorted.

Thsts ridiculous, MN undermines peoples thinking and makes them second guess themselves unnecessarily.
Pr1mr0se · 27/07/2021 11:48

Are you serious, or is this a wind-up?

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 27/07/2021 11:54

Pr1mr0se, have you noticed that there are nearly 400 posts in this thread already? Do you know that you can scroll through a thread looking just at the OP's posts? Both of these are helpful things to bear in mind if you can't work out if an OP is meant to be funny.

lucysnowe2 · 27/07/2021 12:08

Umm, clearly that is not a wedding dress, it's a white floral length gown. It's very different. Wink

lucysnowe2 · 27/07/2021 12:09

*floor length gown!

pleasedonttextmyman · 27/07/2021 12:23

@Pr1mr0se

Are you serious, or is this a wind-up?
is that a serious question?
cuparfull · 27/07/2021 13:00

No ....its a wedding dress....the prerogative of the bride NOT a guest!!!

midsomermurderess · 27/07/2021 13:08

This, in so many of the replies, is why Cummings et al were so successful. Despite the blinding obvious, some people simply can't approach information with an iota of thinking critically. It's a bit scary. £350m a week to the NHS? Let me swallow that whole.
