AIBU?

Random car parked on my drive!

dh has just come back from work and parked across the road. I asked why he hasn't parked on our driveway and he said he thought we had visitors.
I've gone out and there's a random car on our driveway! Knocked on neighbours door but they don't know who's it is. (They are really nice and we get on with them so they would have told them to move if it was anything to do with them).
AIBU to move the car and block them in?

Waiting patiently for owner of the car. Can you secretly record the conversation and interaction you'll be having with them

Yep, settling in to see what happens Smile

No update yet, but am curtain twitching.
There's no way they can get off the drive without asking us move.
There's only 2 places to park across road so I'm assuming they were in use, still why park on someone's drive! Cannot get my head around it.
I've check to see if it's unlocked but it's locked.

Grin husband actually has a hazmat suit he uses for work... tempting idea![/quote]
I have a roll of radioactive area tape in my car. I'd run it round, but I've been on the gin.

Oh this is far too exciting for a Friday evening. I liked the idea of you being a competition winner but fear it may just be a CF

Have you checked Park on my Drive and similar websites in case some utter chancer has flogged your drive for a few extra quid, or (even more likely) sold a parking space on their drive but given epically wrong directions?

While we're waiting why don't we think of reasons why some random stranger would park on another random strangers private drive...

I'm thinking on it...

I wouldn’t bother.
Offending car was set free by neighbour on other thread.

You need the covid sign. Then ask for their mobile, tell them as they need to isolate for 10 days...
I do know some one who just sat in a chair in front of a car parked on the drive for an hour. Even the police said they could have moved a car but not a person.

Do you think Mumsnet should have a whole separate parking talk topic ? With the rule declaring you should first post a diagram when starting a post in the topic ? 🤔

Anyway, block ‘em in ! 🤣

I had settled down on the couch with my chocolates and bottle of water (pregnant so no booze) to watch some one born every minute on 4OD, but scrap that! This is entertainment right here!!!

Keep the updates coming @UftUft and when they come to the door, say it's your sons car who has gone out for the night and taken his keys with him.... hehe!!

You need to send your DH out in the hazmat suit and get him to swab all over their car. Even better if you can get the keep out tape and tape round the car! Grin

When they have to knock on your door to ask you if you would mind moving your car off your drive so they can get their car off your drive say that it's not your car and you've no idea whose car it is because you've got major issues with entitled cf's thinking they can just park their cars on your PRIVATE driveway!!

Can you tell the wine is kicking in yet???

Ooooooo I like the suggestion of calling 101 with the suspicion of a stolen car dumped on your drive

I can't believe someone would actually do that. So weird.
