To be absolutely raging at this selfish garden CF'ery?!?!

So I live in a street where all the gardens face onto each other. Not a problem usually, most people very considerate.

Tonight one set of neighbours have set up an extension cable to move their TV out of the house onto the decking and are blasting (and i mean blasting!) an action movie out for everyone to hear. Think lots of machine gun fire and everything deafening everyone. No one can have their windows open and beyond that, can't enjoy their own garden because of the noise!!!

I'm staggered by this level of entitlement and given they recently had their garden redone, suspect this is not going to be the last time. AIBU to yell at them to take it indoors once it hits 10:30pm??

Get the opera on full, it's not over till the fat lady sings

I always find that a spot of lawn mowing, or diy at 9am is the perfect payback for noisy late night neighbours gatherings. Fortunately I have quiet neighbours I should add so no need

@gogohm. Yep, I agree. I’m all for the enjoyment of the outdoors but our CF neighbours and their teenage kids have had some horrendously loud garden gatherings nearly every night during the recent hot weather. They go on until the early hours and trying to complain is useless as they won’t answer the door - it’s a nice choice, swelter all night with the windows closed, endure the noise or cause bad feeling by involving the council.

However, the recent lovely sunny mornings make it so much nicer to mow the lawn early, don’t they ? You can start at 7am on weekdays and I like to take my time and do a long and thorough job !! We have a particularly loud petrol mower which does the job nicely and I like to keep it ticking over while I inspect the borders and pull any errant weeds.

I’ve also found that in the hot weather, around the same time it’s nice to fling open all the windows and doors, put the washing machine on full spin and start hoovering down the whole house, singing along with the radio as I go - kept to a polite volume of course !! Revenge is very sweet sometimes !!

If you can't use your garden anyway, large bags of manure propped near your boundary. The smell will make it less pleasant for them sitting in their garden. It worked for my late DGM.
Grin best PA move ever! I remember When DH fixed his chainsaw it was pretty uncomfortably loud. Maybe start a chainsaw fixing business that only operates when they set up camp in the ‘outdoor cinema’?

@IrishNinja

"It could be worse. Our local nightmare neighbours now ex bf managed to stream porn very loudly to the outdoor cinema they set up in first lockdown at three in the morning. He was off his head on something so just blundered around in a panic while the whole estate could hear (and a few of us see) some woman screaming "oh yeah, right there, yeah fuck me hard"

Just been reduced to tears of laughter by this. I think it's beaten a PP's story of how she discovered her naked DSS watching porn on the TV in the sitting room...

Seriously OP, I really hope your neighbours have developed some consideration over the past few days. However, my Dad's a crack shot with his air rifle so I can send round if you would like!

Had a problem when I was a student with a noisy neigbour in a hall of residence. I had an early start for my subject, had to be in at 8.30, and she and her rugby playing mates were still making a racket in the small hours, when I politely asked if they would turn it down, they wouldn't. So in the morning, I got up early & woke her up to explain that I would be waking her at 7am (or earlier) every morning if it happened again. it did not happen again.
