'Where Are They Now' if AIBU threads?

Do you even find yourself suddenly remembering a particular scenario, and wondering where the people involved are today, if the behaviour is still carrying on, did she ever LTB, etc?

Even if the thread had a resolution to the scenario, if things ever repeated again?

The one that came into my mind vividly today was about a woman who'd gone to collect her child (believe it was a DD) and came home to find that her husband had left the key in the door on the other side meaning they couldn't get in, and despite being able to see 'D'H in the window and signalling to him, he refused to come and open the door as he was on a work call? From memory they were left waiting for about an hour and DD had to wee in the garden.

I remember feeling so outraged for her, and find myself wondering now if it was just a one off or if the bastard has continued doing shitty things to them.

Any other ones that have left an impression?

Yes!

The one that sticks in my mind is the lady who fancied her gardener(?) I believe they went on a date and I always wonder what happened!

There’s been some right bullshitters on here, one who got caught out on a number of occasions but still styled it out brazenly. Just tweaked their name a bit and proceeded on. Mostly an entertaining read.
Someone who trolled themselves. I forget their name but they got banned.

The woman who had a couple of bitchy lodgers- nurses I think - who were basically ganging up on her in her own home. She gave them notice. They were So horrible to her

Seoladair was doing very well the last time she posted which is ages ago now. She'd popped back a year or 18 months later from the main threads when someone pinged her.

There was a really lovely thread a couple of years ago from a woman who was getting building work done and fancied the (younger) builder.

It went on for a couple of weeks and there were nicknames for all the builders (there was a plasterer who used stilts). She ended up going out with the boss, not the younger guy. The boss had seemed lovely from the start and most posters were rooting for her to pick him.

She seemed like a really nice woman, I hope she's well.

I really doubt that was real! Sounds more like the OP was making it all up.

Sketchy memories of the exact details. But I was gripped.

The post had an office in a building where a child had music lessons (or similar)

Each week the same dad would get a coffee and then while the child would have the lesson (or whatever) he'd shit in her (private) office toilet.

There were weekly updates with the attempts to stop him. Various signs etc.

It was great. (Not for the OP of course.)

To answer your question though OP, I often wonder about Reality and if she's still smug ...

DWP played MN and MNers like her own private orchestra. I don't believe she disappeared off into the sunset after the famous rescue and the creepy Bob/Nob whatever the fuck he was called intervention either. And the other MNer who organized the whole thing but didn't tell poor bloody Z who she was going to rescue should have been ashamed of herself instead of playing the victim after.

I imagine she's still here as well fucking headcase.

I remember the lady with 6 kids who was married to someone from the travelling community iirc, she was desperate to leave, but he was always at her side…never got to know the end of that story.
I tired to get her a safe place miles away from him

Had the room booked and everything
She was too scared

Hope she found the courage eventually

@SmidgenofaPigeon I got accused of being a troll when I was posting when DH was in hospital. I posted regularly and things changed very rapidly (he went from being in an induced coma with talk of heart transplant to having tea and toast within 12 hours!) and people found it unbelievable. I can understand why. But the truth is that when someone you love is critically ill there's a lot of waiting around and you can't focus on anything. Posting here gave me an outlet for my fears and a source of support. So I do believe some of these "live update" threads are real.

In the end (when DH sadly died) I outed myself to prove I was telling the truth. I found the accusations of being a troll incredibly hurtful.

One who I remember was a poster who was being controlled by her mother, she was filling her house with tons of stuff and the poster couldn't deal with it.

One where a woman went to a hostel but went back to an abuser, I hoped she would make a new thread with a new attempt (the old thread was full.) He kept grabbing her when she didn't want it and stuff.

The one thread that somehow stuck in my head was the houseguest who never left her room. Late 2019 I think..? Must have been before lockdown as the guests were on a stopover while travelling to visit family. Theories ranged from agoraphobia, emetophobia, pregnancy, abuse, arrogance and the updates were mundane but riveting.

One I do was by a mum who's little girl became really tired and apathetic, out of the blue. I don't know if she ever came back, or we found out what happened.

If it's the one about a toddler who slept a lot, that was deleted for being fake. The OP was exposed after posting in a different thread about having a second child with cancer.

Jesus that's terrible, I only remembered that one as I had a friend who's son had ALL and he had those symptoms prior to diagnosis. Some people are just awful.
