To want to scream shut the fuck up

Okay I know the football is a massive deal to some, I can't watch it as I find it too stressful.
I'm upstairs consoling my sobbing 1 year old who was asleep but was woken by people opposite who are yelling, cheering, groaning, swearing and singing. Given we're not even 30 minutes ini can see it getting worse. I mean fair enough cheering when they score but it was only once
Feel like screaming shut the fuck up. There are quite a few children who are /were asleep I'd think in our road (children under 3) and it's just so inconsiderable to make so much noise the entire time.
Poor baby is falling asleep and then wakes with a jump as these idiots bellow. They are clearly being over loud as usually baby sleeps through most normal noise.
Know I actually am being unreasonable as it's a one off but fuck me it's annoying.
Sorry feel better for the rant and obviously not going to scream shut the fuck up but am very tempted.

I think it's just easier if you accept that there will occasionally be noisy nights and just roll with it!

In our village we have a number of events that go on until late. The annual brass band contest ( which is basically one huge party) goes on until midnight and when DS was a baby our house was right in the middle of it all. We just accepted that it wasn't every night and other people's fun shouldn't stop just because we had a baby.

We kept waking the dog up with our noises. I don’t normally even watch football

There's goung to be lots of times in your children's life when everyone else doesn't adhere to your sleep schedule. That's life, I'm afraid. We've all had it and we come through it seeing a more balanced view. It was pre 9.30pm when you posted. On balance that's hardly a late night riot, is it?

Find a way to deal.

@NotMyCat

I couldn't get mad about it, it's one night I grew up living in pubs! So as a baby/toddler and older living actually above the pub, you get used to it (I sleep through anything now). Weirdly if I close my eyes I can hear the glasses being collected and my dad shouting "time at the bar" and the last orders bell Grin
I also grew up in a pub and I'm a really bad sleeper. Just because something works for one person it doesn't mean it will work for all.
