Maybe the criticism is valid and those who continue to support someone who committed treason against her own country need to examine their own internal biases.

Also please don’t minimise Antisemitism by equating it with criticism of Priti Patel. I really wish people would stop throwing people with Jewish heritage in as a hand grenade to win arguments. It’s deeply offensive as well as transparent.

I couldn’t comment on how she dresses, because I can honestly say I haven’t really noticed. I also don’t have any view on her voice. I couldn’t care less that she is a woman who claims to like football (I am a HUGE football fan). You seem to assume that all of us who say we hate her vote Labour (I don’t, I vote LD generally but have also voted green). Like I say, you are making a lot of assumptions about those of us who have an issue with PP, which given your position that we are inherently racist (and sexist) is interesting.

I absolutely despise Jacob Rees-Mogg as well, and Boris, and before this lot I loathed George Osbourne (I still won’t read the Evening Standard). How do all of those fit in with me hating PP because I am a sexist racist? I actually hate them all because of their politics, because they are completely disingenuous, because they themselves are racist, homophobic, sexist etc (not GO - I hate him because of his austerity measures which went way beyond what was needed and impacted the vulnerable/minorities far more than others).

I saw the pictures of Boris with the England flag and in his England shirt and thought he was an embarrassing, hypocrite. I saw the tweets from PP and thought she was a hypocrite. Neither is because of their sex or race. It’s because they are hypocrites.

She's dangerous because she's a combination of deluded, stupid, powerful and narcissistic. Bit like that orange moron. What world is she living in to think anyone wants to see a staged photo of her cheering England? Or believe her condemnation of racism after defending booing of taking the knee? Vile person.

She’s bilingual - her parents speak enough English to set up a chain of shops and she has bachelors and masters degrees. That God awful accent is a complete affectation and nothing to do with English not being her first language - although I suspect it is anyway.

Sorry I am going a bit off topic here as not a comment about PP, but this is a comment to justanotherlurker, regarding our exchange the other day on this thread.

@Justanotherlurker, I have just been reading up more on the EHRC report and there is something I did get wrong. I said they were asked to consider whether the Labour Party was institutionally anti-semitic. However, I see this is not true and the EHRC is only able to investigate whether the Labour Party was guilty of breaching any parts of the 2010 equality act which the EHRC found they were.

As an Indian woman I have watched this thread with some interest. My takeaways from it:

1. If you are an Indian woman in a position of power be prepared for the backlash particularly from white women who will mock your speach, the way you dress and act. Read through the thread and see.

1. If you are Asian or Black, you are only allowed to be left wing. If you are not, the vitriol reserved for you as a conservative is double that for anyone else. That being said, if you are a woman of colour in any wing of politics then the vitriol is at least 50% higher. Try speaking to Diane Abbott or maybe Jess Phillips.

1. If you are an Asian woman, you cannot be interested in Sport, or patriotic. Everyone else can at this time, but you of course are a complete imposter.

Please nice middle class white "left leaning" net mummers do one of two things. 1) have a really good look at your attitudes and see them for what they are 2) Come out of the shadows and just be honest that you aren't that comfortable with us... it was a lot easier to know who to avoid when I was being chased down the street by the APL as a girl.

Some of that may have been true of Abbott but PP is disliked because she "appears" to be a very horrible person, espousing nasty policies, supported 100% by the Government, led by Boris Johnson, PP is no better or worse than the rest of them.
