It made post separation coercive control and strangulation/suffocation illegal, along with defining domestic abuse, enabling children to be named as DV victims and effectively ended the rough sex defence. It was far from perfect, but the day it passed was a vast improvement on the day before.
I don't think PP is lovely by any means, but she's no more egregious than any of them and I note that where TM received mockery and derision (a la Boris and Mogg), Patel has had so much rage directed her way that there's no accounting for it on paper.
