There should be no England fans at final IMO

I cannot believe there is not more disgust at the actions of one (or more) English fan(s).

Aside from trying to cheat way to an England victory by distracting the goalkeeper during a penalty, lasers are phenomenally dangerous to eyes. The goalkeeper could have retinal damage.

I think a “lesser” nation would have been kicked out, but England won’t. But in my view the fans should be banned - there has to be consequences for criminal actions. Otherwise it will happen again.

Suspect I’ll be in the minority but it’s frankly embarrassing we have fans who do this.

Having gone to football most of my adult life … some referee decision go your way, and some don’t. Sterling didn’t award himself a penalty, a professional referee did - and the VAR referees did not contradict him.

All football players play to get free kicks .. including the Danish Team, Italian, Spanish and all others. It’s part of the game.

As for fans booing anthems - it’s not just the English that do it. If you want animosity between fans, watch some Italian derby matches.

Fireworks? Where was the fuss when the Dutch fans were letting off smoke bombs ?

Laser pen was wrong, the person needs banning.

The comments about the young German girl were despicable and should be dealt with.

ALL England fans like that? Was Prince William behaving like that ? David Beckham ? Alex Scott ? Nah

I know a number of people who went to Wembley, and had a great time.

Personally I think they should be disqualified, as it is in the future I think it will be remembered in the same way as hand of God. It was disgraceful and has taken the shine off a very good win.

UEFA won't make that call because the final is in England.

The social media point is possibly valid but then it applies to all social media IMO not just football. Give someone anonymity and they will post rubbish/hurtful things. If it's not a girl in the crowd as a target it'll be someone on Love Island or a politician or a plus sized model.

I'm not a massive football fan but I do have experiences from my childhood and certainly don't think you can say they lacked talent - in what way?

So there's similar incidents but it's a systemic English issue based on one incident of which has happened multiple times with different countries and in different sports?
There has been repeated booing of national anthems, quite disgusting cyber- bullying of a young child by adult men, and an attempt to cause bodily harm to another team's critical player. No, this is not "one" incident. But please, do proceed with your alphabet soup experiment.

From what I saw the green laser light randomly moved around the chest of the goalkeeper, it barely went near his eyes, which is very fortunate.

There’s lots of photos of it on his face. Luckily the goalie was moving so it was hard to point it in one spot I’m guessing.

As for cheating, it's almost like people are new to the game and think it's somehow an english trait or that every tournament hasn't been won on tight decisions that have left a bitter taste in the mouths of those that lost, Italy are not adverse to diving and playing the 'system' and have been known for it for years and if you had actually watched the tournament would have seen it happen in a few of there games in the past few weeks.

It's fun to see the 'critical thinkers' who are so concerned with england just repeat ad nauseam the hot takes from twitter and wrapping them up as their own when it is obvious they haven't watched any games and just want to find a way to display the ABE rethoric, you can probably gain much glee on monday in england losing and be on the side where there is more out and out open racism than any booing of a national anthem (ignoring Italy booing Spains the other night, or even Denmark booing finlands) is considered a uniquely british trait.

The fact is, England were the better team. I don’t follow football whatsoever. Nor am I English. But that is the fact. They had about 80% of the ball possession. Far more shots at the goal. It could easily have been 4:1 to England.

No i wasn't, my dad was and got beaten up very badly, he never worked again.
But he always loved his football and passed that onto me, stamp down on this unruly behavior and we can prevent a return to the 70s and 80s.

Anyone found guilty of these actions should at least be banned, however from what I have seen a vast majority of English fans have behaved responsibly, so why should they be punished because of a few.

Because they won and there are a lot of very sore losers out there who aren't happy about it.

I have absolutely no doubt it was an England fan, and that person is a cunt who should be banned for life.

However if you start disqualifying teams because of a laser being shone in the other team’s keeper’s face, it won’t be long before people are shining lasers in their own players’ faces to try to get the other team kicked out.

It’s why they now don’t have to stop the game when there are 2 balls on the field, to stop people throwing balls on and having play stopped when the opposition are on a promising attack.
