To be enjoying the Euros, to enjoy international football, and to be happy that England are in the final?

According to other threads on MN I should be hanging my boring head in shame and hating the football.

But, I love it! I love an international football tournament, and I'm loving this one! I proudly support our national team, I think they've shown great character, skill and hard work, and - OMG - I also like the Three Lions song!

I feel bad for other teams who have worked hard and lost, but them's the breaks. It doesn't stop me being excited for the final!!

I'm with you OP. I've been watching even though I don't like football much and I'm really happy we're in the final. The other threads on here are really pathetic, I've been tempted to offer them sackcloth and ashes and mouldy bread lol.

I can’t bloody wait! I love it and I’m over the moon that we’ve reached the final for my 5 month old son’s first experience of the tournament (I know he won’t remember but I will 😂).
The lazer thing is shit but it’s one dickhead, all football teams have yobs and the constant hatred for England in particular has been sooo boring for years, it just makes me more keen to support them.

I'm so bored of the nasty comments here.
People seem to enjoy bringing up statistics about domestic violence when England loses and at the same time don't give a shit about spouting passive aggressive verbal abuse to and about fans.
I'm sure they are aware of how infuriating it is when they say "oh it's just a game" or "I hope England loses" but they keep bullying fans by being dismissive and belittling.
What kind of sick, perverse minds get pleasure out of that?!

I just hope it doesn’t come home. I love to England fans supporter friends and a part of me would like to see them happy if England win but the media and this country just go overboard all the time as if they are the best ever and really they are not and it’s nauseating. Anyway, Italy will win. England has home advantage, which could push it their way, but Italy is clearly the better team.

Only thing that pisses me off is the big fuss about first final in 50 years etc etc…

The fact God Save The Queen is used by England for football is an agreement between the FA's of the home nations so its not just the CF English taking the piss, its a mutal decision between them and the other teams. Personally, I would prefer Jerusalem as GSTQ is an absolute dirge
