(I have a slight hint of Yorkshire myself).

Also Southern /Appalachian. Especially if he also uses their sayings:

Yuck. I could never fancy a man with a posh accent. Ultimate turn-off for me. RP I can just about tolerate if he's otherwise really nice. But the idea of such bland accents being a turn-on is bizarre to me.

Surprised at all those proposing NI accents. I live here and I think general Belfast is quite nice but not Ballymena way. I work with someone from Newry and can't understand a word they say. It amazes me that such a small population can all sound so different, some of them sound Scottish to me.

Ones that turn me off are Welsh, West country and South African (on account of the horrible guy in District 9!) Don't know why. Am sure there are loads of sexy men from all of those places but if I was building a man from scratch I would avoid those.

Scottish - especially Inverness and Edinburgh

Most regional or overseas accents have the potential to be sexy on the right person IMHO. Even the ones which most people dislike (such as West Midlands/S Africa). The only accent which has me absolutely running for the hills is a posh Southern English accent. Unfair, maybe, but to me they have powerful associations with entitlement, a sense of them being natural leaders and contempt for others.

I'm Scottish and I like Scottish and Irish accents on a man.

Romanian is the best but most Eastern European accents do it for me.

I don’t know what Scottish accent comes from where but I love a soft one with no rolling r. I think it might be Stirling area.

Also like Upper East Side New York, think Gwyneth Paltrow.
