Just that really.

I like a Scottish or an Irish accent on a man!

There are looooads of different accents within a whole country/nation, though - there isn't 'A Scottish accent' any more than there's 'An English accent'.

Even within a single city - e.g. Glasgow, you can have Gerard Butler/Robert Carlyle or the whiniest ned - all with completely authentic Glasgow accents but not all quite equally sexy to most people!

Lemons1571 · 03/07/2021 23:31

Another vote for northern Irish here

tbh unless you're native to the place it's often hard to differentiate between the various accents. I worked with four Australian men to my ears sounded more or less the same, though apparently they had different accents.
FlaminEckVera · 03/07/2021 23:35

I love the New Orleans accent, and the New York one... But also Irish, Italian, Spanish, and French. Soooo many are appealing. Eastern Europe, Middle East, North American/Canadian, any South or Central American one, Scandinavian... accents from African countries...

Lots of lovely ones. But the New Orleans one is just lush. Smile

Travielkapelka · 03/07/2021 23:35

Generic well spoken southern / London for me. No contest

If you’re not from the country, they all sound the same, though.

Before I spent any time in the UK, I couldn’t tell the difference between, e.g. Mancunian and East End. I just thought there was RP and everything else.

After living there for over a decade, I became much more attuned to the many differences.
