Looks like we might need a new thread.

Have people still not got this?? It’s contracts for millions and millions of pounds given out to her and her family. A few snogs in the office and a few shags have set her and her extended family up for life.

On Saturday a spokesperson for PHL said its contracts had always been awarded in the correct way.

They said: “PHL has been operating for over 11 years and at all times has secured contracts through the robust tender and procurement processes put in place by local Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs).

“At no time have any contracts been awarded outside of these rigorous processes and no contracts have ever been awarded by the Department of Health and Social Care.”

This country has been kettled into a very dark place by this government.
Can't believe anyone can vote for them. Utterly self-serving, heartless twats.
I don't think it's ever been so grim. Totally brazen lack of honesty morality but people don't seem to care!

youshouldbeplotting · 26/06/2021 09:19

Legally, you'd have to define what was and wasn't 'at work

I don't think snogging your colleague counts as being "at work". Why are people trying to wriggle out of the fact that Hancock has at the very least breached the guidelines and may well have broken the law. Why is any one defending this utterly corrupt government?

youshouldbeplotting · 26/06/2021 09:22

LucindaT73 but we haven't got Corbyn, so how is that in any way relevant?

This.
ItsSnowJokes · 26/06/2021 09:24

There is just something not quite right with the video. It's awkward as hell and just doesn't seem like a couple having a fling. I can't quite put my finger on why, but it just seems staged and weird. And like others have said he would surely know where the cctv cameras are. Its all very odd.

He's a massive twat, and his wife must be in bits, and personally I think he should be sacked, he won't be, but he should be.

Lucidas · 26/06/2021 09:24

@LucindaT73

What about Tory ministers approving £2bn in unlawful arms sales to repressive regimes such as Saudi Arabia? It has since been putting those to use in its attacks against Yemen...if you want to talk about regional destabilization.

Funny how people only choose to focus on the bits of foreign policy that prove their point.

Because at the last election, he was the Labour leader.

I don't think anyone can say this is just a 'Tory' thing.

I'm old enough to remember all the sleaze that affected most of the main parties.

John Prescott and blow jobs in his office
Robin Cook and his affair

all Labour

It's not just blue v red.

It's men in power who think they can get away with things and they lose their judgment, being led by their cocks.

Many or most find the alternatives worse.

Ha! It would take all day to take you on with that one and what's been done. Blair's illegal war would take all day. Not to mention Corbyn and his cosying up to terrorists.

Fallsballs · 26/06/2021 09:29

It doesn’t really matter if Hancock is sacked does it ? There’ll be another moral vacuum taking his place from the Tory stable. Hancock’s head was on the block for ages, this is just the final push and as PP’s have said he can now take the blame for everything else whilst Johnson skips off to his violinist or whoever the new one is.

LondonJax · 26/06/2021 09:32

Re the question of 'was it staged?' At the end of the day, you can only get caught like this if you want to. A woman can dance naked on your desk and, if you don't respond, you won't get caught. Don't forget this wasn't some random aide. This was a woman who he was friends with during university. If she set him up, she was aware he could be set up.

Personally I think this has been going on for a while and more will come out. The 'please give my family some privacy' plea is pathetic. If he cared about his wife and kids, he wouldn't have done it.

And, set up or not (not from my point of view), the questions still remain. He is being advised by someone he may have been having an affair with, whose family include someone who works for a company that won NHS contracts. His inability to keep it in his trousers and her bad taste in men are for their families to work out but there's potential fraud here and that needs to be looked into.

I hope, if he keeps his job, he doesn't do any more patronising 'you must do this'. After pulling apart Cummings and Ferguson he needs to look in the mirror before he does the next press conference about Covid restrictions.

LucindaT73 · 26/06/2021 09:32

Those who want Hancock's head and the demise of the Tories- who exactly do you think is around to replace them?

I shudder at the thought of anyone from Labour having an inkling on what to do. They are a complete and utter joke, squabbling amongst themselves and the unions.

Starmer must be one of the worst opposition leaders ever. Spineless, wet, ineffective.

God help us if you think they could do better.

EvilPea · 26/06/2021 09:36

His poor children and wife. Ones a teen (so likely to have seen all this shit), you'd never be able to forgive your dad would you?

borntobequiet · 26/06/2021 09:39

I'd say kissing a colleague is not as bad as having tea with Hamas which is what we'd have got with Corbyn.
People are very quick to forget the alternatives and history.
Paddy Ashdown with his pants down.
John Major and Currie
Tony Blair and his illegal war.

Top marks for such a collection of irrelevant non-equivalent absurdity.

Once or twice?
Had a glance at the link but didnt see which[you dont have to spoonfeed me, so dont answer if you do not want to]

Fallsballs · 26/06/2021 09:40

Lucinda - we get it - your a Tory but you seem to forget Corbyn was never PM and labour have no bearing on Hancock’s infidelity and cronyism.

Alternative ways of reading this.

93% of deaths were in the over 50s, given that significantly more than 80% of over 50s have been double vaccinated this is good evidence for vaccine efficacy as is the lower case fatality rate.

Difficult to see how a scandal has been manufactured to cover up report #17 in a regular series.

Notonthestairs · 26/06/2021 09:44

Lucinda - the Conservatives used to have a whole range of politicians who were a lot more experienced and capable (Soames, Clarke, Grieve etc) than the current crop. People who could read a treaty and understand it! I didn't agree with them but I would listen.

I appreciate many of them weren't Brexity enough for some voters.

But we've just ended up with those who'd follow Johnson- not the most talented that they could offer.

lightand · 26/06/2021 09:45

@IAmDaveTheSerialShagger

So her dad is the CEO of a GLOBAL Pharmaceutical Company and her brother been awarded millions in NHS contracts for Covid. I think the idiot has been pulled in more ways than one. The whole thing stinks.
This whole thing could run and run.
lightand · 26/06/2021 09:46

So many people cover up so many things.
isnt just applicable to politics.

Peregrina · 26/06/2021 09:47

Why should anyone shudder at a Labour MP replacing Hancock? Labour aren't in Government. The problem is the mediocrities that Johnson has surrounded himself with since December 2019, when the half way decent Tories were chased out of the party.

Tanith · 26/06/2021 09:50

@ThornAmongstRoses

Does anyone else think that the lady in the video looks curvier than the depiction we’ve seen photos of in the newspaper or on the news?

The figures don’t match - it just looks strange.

You think it could be BJ dressed up? Shock
ConvenientCCTV · 26/06/2021 09:51

He is just CHANGING THE NARRATIVE.

He will resign over this rather than the hundreds of thousands of excess deaths.

Is it even him? That widow's peak on the man in the CCTV is massive - I can't find one photo of him with such an enormous widow's peak (not an euphemism Grin)
