My son and daughter couldn't see the grandad who doted on them in the nine months before he died of Covid. I saw him twice for twenty minutes in the days before he died. I wanted to hold his hand but wasn't allowed. I know there are thousands of people with similar experiences and if Matt Hancock had one ounce of decency and care for others he would resign but somehow we continue to allow this government to treat us appallingly. I am glad people at least can share a funny moment about Hancock's awfulness but as he is one of many in this government I think he will stay.

@Rhayader he seems like he'd be completely incompetent at almost everything. Is there anything that he's actually good at?

I'm a privacy campaigner. No joke. But after how badly that man has broken everything, I just laughed at this. It's not enough of course, but it's something.

Never liked the man, never trusted him and not in the least bit surprised. However, serious questions are needing asked regarding the recruitment of Ms Coladangelo and her brother, who both seem to have landed top jobs within or working for the NHS. Was she recruited before or after the affair? How does her brother obtain a job too? Are we now employing whole families who are 'friends' of governments ministers? Mr Hancock has made a complete and utter mockery of Lockdown rules, and of the British public who were trying to do their best for the country under hellish circumstances. He should resign, but he won't as who would the PM replace Mr Hancock with? The only sympathy I have in this whole sorry mess is for Mr Hancock's wife and family, it must be awful for them right now.

It seems like another big stunt like the Dominic Cummings eye test fiasco. Obviously designed to get us all to say 'fuck this for a laugh I'm not doing what they tell me if they won't do it themselves' because not enough of us are back in workplaces and out spending for the Tories liking.

I’ve started antidepressants today. These last 18 months have taken everything out of me. I’m so angry at what this government gets away with. It’s like they are untouchable. What can we do? There must be something except for writing to our MPs.

This might just be the turning point...the public aren’t going to accept BJ’s position that “the matter is closed”. He doesn’t get to decide that.

Will be interesting to see if the protest kicks off tomorrow. It would very handily shift Hancock from the front pages.

It was from a covert camera hidden within the smoke alarm in his office.

It doesn't have to have been staged by both of them - it could have been staged by either of them. Both behave unnaturally.
