A close family member playing for Scotland tonight, been sitting at the edge of our seats all night. He said not to celebrate, not a big deal. AIBU to think it is a big fucking deal that they have a point over England!? I am buzzing, but told to calm down. AIBU to think this is actually amazing and a step in the right direction??

England played abysmally but can play 100% better than that. Scotland played well and probably don’t have much more to give above that. They all seemed to be giving 110% whereas England were on about 20%. With a bit of luck on either side it could have gone either way so it was a fair point in the end I think

I get crazy excited watching my son play, and he's 10! God knows how you coped with that, it was a pretty tight match.

At the start of the day I thought we would be beaten. At the end of the day we have been very unlucky not too win.

But for us Scots we know this is a good (if not a wee bit disappointing result). How many times have we had our heartbroken? Being a Scotland fan is not easy but i could not love & support any other team in the way I support Scotland. Its that heartbreak and these little results that makes it so special.

We played well tonight although the finishing could have been better.

But not one single player let us down and we had them well and truly rattled.

This is a good result even though England we jammy buggers to yet a draw.

For all the shit in Scottish football, whether you are green or blue we all love Scotland (well mostly) and your brother should be proud. It was my kids 1st experience of Scotland v England. We live in England so this had really helped my cause

England were only poor due to Scotlands tactics and work rate, on paper it should have been a stroll for England . Hopefully Scotland play as well on Tuesday and get the win

They don’t have “ a point over England” though. England now have 4 points (a win v Croatia and a draw v Scotland) while Scotland lost their first match and only have one point, so are three points behind England. Scotland need to beat Croatia or will go out of the tournament.
It didn’t look like England were really bothering much with the game. Getting a draw and avoiding injuries or yellow cards was really all they needed to do.
