The TV channels should stop filming football match now. This is wrong

Why can't the TV channels stop filming while a player is being resuscitated rather than commenting on it. I've switched off. Hope they stop soon

Other matches today - aren’t there? Shouldn’t be played. It’s terrible - so young and fit.

There is no way they can continue the game. The players were distraught they can't play on.

Well as they were doing CPR and using a defibrillator I'd say so.

Poor man. The feed comes from the home broadcaster, it's a shock, obviously no one realised how serious at first, they don't stop filming for normal injuries.

Poor wife/partner is with him apparently, so sad. for them

@wheresmyhairytoe you know those things are intended to save a life, right? The person is not dead until medics agree they can’t be revived.

My words were clumsy, the camera was on his face and his eyes, at the moment, were haunting.
Like I said, I'm sorry, I'm in shock and wish I hadn't seen it, the cameras should have been pulled away.

When something traumatic happens it is important to have a place to talk about/start to process it. I didn't take this thread as being gossipy.

Sinister I am so sorry for your loss, and for everyone else who has had a trauma like this.

That was horrific -his poor poor wife, but total respect for his team mates what they did.

I've seen the footage now. How incredibly sad. It looked like he just suddenly staggered and fell?

When they went over to him you could see their blind panic. It was clear it was serious.

I haven't seen the programme but if they continued filming and filming the treatment that's vile. Totally degrading and unnecessary.

Really hope that he will pull through. As @RoseAndRose has said, there is hope.

I wasn't gossiping or being intentionally horrid, I was and am just very, very distressed by what I saw.

If they used a defibrillator on him then he wasn’t dead, a defib only works if it picks up a heartbeat, they don’t jumpstart a heart, they put it back into proper rythym
