Hello everyone!

The thread to debate the pros and cons of piercing babies' and children's ears still exists, and it's here.

But, if you've thought about it and have decided that you agree with the OP, you can sign two petitions, conveniently righthere.

Click on the link, then enter 'ear piercing' into the search box. That will bring up two petitions. One is to ban the procedure on all children under 10, the other is about banning it for under-2s.

If you sign the under-10s one, please also sign the Under-2s one!

it all only takes a minute! I have the attention span of a gnat on amphetamines, and if I can do it, so can you!

On the under 2 online petition there are 192 sigs. 76 on the under 10's and there is a new petition with 4 sigs for under 14's. 200 sigs are needed for the petition to be considered so only 8 to go on the under 2's. If you decide to sign a petition then please ensure you sign all of those in age ranges below the one that you are signing so as not to split the numbers.

Done it, I think its disgusting to pierce ears under 2. I had mine done when I was 8 becuase my mum liked the idea and she wasn't allowed to have her ears pierced until she left home!

I signed the under 2s and under 10s petitions from the original thread. I was 1 before I got my ears pierced and I think that is young enough.

I do not agree with tiny babies wearing earrings.

I must learn to proof read before posting. That should was I was 13 before I got my ears pierced.

An update for those who are interested - there are 199 sigs on the under 2's online petition, so almost there! Just one more signature needed before the governement will consider looking at at. For the other petitions - 78 sibs on the under 10's and 6 on the under 14's.
