There seems to be huge amounts of Disney logos, Disney characters and other cartoon characters and images on adult clothes. It makes me so cross. I do not want to dress like a child. Am I the only one who this annoys ?

Stop shopping in Primark, Asda and the Disney Store then you won't get frustrated

SimonJT · 02/06/2021 18:59

@Professionallytorn

Often see an otherwise nice top which I might like to buy, then wait, Mickey Mouse ears on it, or worst.... Wish i could find same clothing without the kids designs on, but I can't. Frustrating.
I’m very impressed that you can’t find any clothing without kids designs on.

There are millions of shops out there.

I'm sure you can find SOMETHING you like.

Arbadacarba · 02/06/2021 19:02

Not to my taste but it'd be a dull world if we all liked the same thing.

Unless The Disney Store is the only shop within 50 miles of where you live, OP, I'm sure there must be non-Disney clothing out there for you.

CarlottaValdez · 02/06/2021 19:02

I don’t understand where you’re shopping that you regularly like something but then it’s got Disney on it. I’ve never come across this - are you shopping in the Disney store?

WhatWouldPhyllisCraneDo · 02/06/2021 19:04

Don't buy it then. Simple.

I love Disney. Some of my clothes/accessories are Disney. Some of them are Harry Potter. My bedding is all either Disney or HP. My life, my choice.

And men's Disney clothes do exist. Mainly Star Wars rather than Tangled admittedly. But they are available.

stackemhigh · 02/06/2021 19:04

Disney sell their brand to anyone who throws them a few pennies, it's everywhere. Primark and the supermarkets are especially bad for it.

BewareTheBeardedDragon · 02/06/2021 19:05

@stackemhigh

YANBU, OP, it's extremely infantalising. Men's clothing doesn't have Disney characters.

i found the perfect length nightshirt, full sleeve, thigh length, 100% cotton.

Unfortunately it's got Bambi's face on the front and Bambi's tail where my ass is.

Men's clothing (some of it) gets marvel characters - which are equally immature when you stop to consider. Plenty of non Disney clothes also exist.
Ickythefirebobby · 02/06/2021 19:06

I wouldn’t even let my child wear anything with a kid logo, never mind wear one myself.

Hazelnutlatteplease · 02/06/2021 19:06

I wear a lot of Disney. I dont think anyone would mistake me for a child and my IQ stays the same whatever I wear.

It does give me a bit of happiness though

Disney didn't create Star Wars and it's aimed at adults not children.

TheDoctorDances · 02/06/2021 19:07

Poor unfortunate soul.

IHaveBrilloHair · 02/06/2021 19:07

I've bought loads of clothes recently and not a single character on any.
I don't actually mind them either!

MadeOfStarStuff · 02/06/2021 19:08

YABU

Just don’t buy it. There’s thousands of other clothes you can buy without Disney characters on.

🤣🤣🤣

definitely not a diamond in the rough

Poor kid. I tend to let DC chose for themselves. What's the betting they grow up an disney wearing adults 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Where are you shopping? I’ve seen loads of Disney clothing in Primark which I’m not interested in wearing so I don’t buy it. I still find loads (some might say too much) of other stuff to buy.

Disney didn't technically create Winnie the Pooh, Rapunzel, Cinderella, frozen or most of their other films/characters either.

I do own a few disney lounge wear items but wouldn't wear them out I have to say. They are better than this trend for women wearing huge shapeless sacks though. If I wanted to wear a tiered bedsheet then I wouldn't pay someone for one!

Umm.... no. Just like no one has forced OP to buy and wear it. How odd.

And I know Disney didn't make SW. But they own it now. So Disney mens clothes do exist. Confused

And for the record DS1 (16) has Disney bedding too. Clearly we're awesome Grin

StopPokingTheRoyalTitDear · 02/06/2021 19:12

I’ve seen shit loads of men’s clothes with Star Wars, the Simpsons, minions, marvel, DC, toy story and daddy fucking pig on them. Definitely isn’t just women’s clothing.

HarebrightCedarmoon · 02/06/2021 19:12

I wouldn't wear Disney but I did just buy a Snoopy top.

SpacePug · 02/06/2021 19:13

I see men's t shirts with buzz light-year on and grumpy (7 dwarfs) and others i'm sure. I like it and I wear Disney PJ's often

stackemhigh · 02/06/2021 19:14

So? They have created others. And Disney did produce Frozen, Elsa didn't exist pre-Disney.
