This is SO indulgent. Sorry Blush

I still have another 3 to go so I’m still quite big. But as the weather has finally got warmer here’s some stuff that I’ve noticed:

I used to get a cheesey sort of thing under my belly. I had to shower twice every day without fail or this STANK. Now I still shower at least once a day but I choose to: I don’t have to because of this revolting thing.

I have so much more choice with clothes. Last summer I wore black leggings and baggy t shirts. Now I can wear bright summer colours and not feel self conscious.

My back isn’t as fat.

I don’t feel embarrassed to have my photo taken with my children. I definitely still look plump but I don’t avoid the camera and I ask DH to take photos of us.

I got a job, after thinking no one would employ me.

I don’t look scruffy any more. I’m not saying all big people do. I know some look very elegant; but I never did.

I’m losing motivation so add yours!

@WhoWants2Know

Exante is a meal replacement programme where you swap regular food for shakes or bars that have the nutrients you need.

I'm in my 3rd week and feeling good, but hearing these stories is so helpful!

Is it like the Cambridge plan then? Are the meal replacements and bars nice?
LuckyBug89 · 30/05/2021 22:06

Forgive my ignorance but what's the exante diet? I have about 8 stone to lose I'm embarrassed to admit Blush

Waveafterwaveslowlydrifting · 30/05/2021 22:10

How do you stick to it? Do you feel hungry? Do you miss real food?

Well done!

Welikebeingcosy · 30/05/2021 22:19

Following for inspiration!

MissingInActon · 30/05/2021 22:25

This is a timely thread. Thanks for the inspiration @fat13 and well done to you. I've lost a stone since easter on low carb but have about another 4 or 5 to go. I find it easier than I expected but have some shocking bad habits built up over many years that rear their heads when I'm busy or stressed, so I'm a bit two steps forward, one back. I didn't expect to feel so noticeably 'well' so quickly though, and that's a big motivator.

Good luck to all who are trying to lose weight. It's really not easy and life can be pretty horrible to fat people tbh.

Spotsandstars · 30/05/2021 22:25

I've got 2-3 to loose, is it recommended for that?

Well done, I lost a lot of weight about ten years ago and kept it off for ages. It’s creeping back on and your post reminded me it is possible to lose it

bridgetreilly · 30/05/2021 22:32
  1. Bright clothes are available in all sizes and people can still see you if you are wearing black.
  1. Most fat people are employed.
  1. Cameras work for people of all sizes.
OhHarry · 30/05/2021 22:33

Oh wow! You are all amazing. Are any if you menopausal?

Ahhbiscuits · 30/05/2021 22:36

I’ve lost nearly 4 stone but my goodness shifting the last 1.5 stone is seemingly impossible! Well done op and to all others 🙌🏼

Yorkshiremummyof1 · 30/05/2021 22:43

I cheated, had a gastric sleeve. Having said that the rest of the weight is proving to be a pain in the arse to shed. I’ve gained three stone during lockdown so need that to shift but I’m not cycling to work anymore. Just taught the child to cycle so going to bike with him to school so that should help

coodawoodashooda · 30/05/2021 22:44

I'm so excited to read this thread.

msssm · 30/05/2021 22:45

@WhoWants2Know

Oh, and with the constant deals, it's not too expensive either.
Do you know where to access the best deals? Thanks in advance Smile
coodawoodashooda · 30/05/2021 22:51

This is fantastic. We'll done everyone. I swam in the sea this weekend and finally think I'm going to begin again after a terrible marriage and divorce.

ilovepixie · 30/05/2021 22:52

I've got about 10 stone to lose and I don't know where to start. Everything is becoming difficult, walking, standing, I can't breathe, can't tie my shoes, can clean myself properly after the toilet
I don't know how I got like this. And I don't know how I'm going to get out of it either.

pinkpapaya · 30/05/2021 22:54

I hope you feel immensely proud of yourself. 5 stones is a huge loss and requires a lot of dedication. You are amazing and I hope you enjoy every moment of a healthier, happier you.

newbrother · 30/05/2021 22:54

This thread made me cry. I need to lose about 9 stone and I just don't know where to start. I feel everything you did 5 stone ago and it's so overwhelming Sad Wish I could get to the point you and others are at OP. Well done to you all Flowers

LovelyLadyLily · 30/05/2021 22:54

I'm so glad you're feeling happier and healthier. That's the most important thing.

I have about 2 stone to lose and have just started doing calorie counting and trying to walk more and lost a few lbs but nothing a night or two wouldn't reverse.

I tried exante but managed two days. The products actually all made me feel repulsed and sick. I couldn't even finish them, despite being starving, they actually turned my stomach.

TakemedowntoPotatoCity · 30/05/2021 22:56

My BMI is 41 and as well as all of the usual backache walking etc the worst symptom is that I can only just reach to wipe my arse now. If that won't motivate me to lose weight nothing will.

ItWasTheBestOfTimes · 30/05/2021 22:57

I've also lost 5.5 stone since mid January on a meal replacement diet and have around 3 more to go. I feel so much better in myself, it really is worth sticking to.

newbrother · 30/05/2021 23:00

Can anyone recommend a meal replacement company that makes actually nice to eat vegan things? I have just looked at the one recommended on this thread but it doesn't seem vegan friendly.

FluffyMcWuffy · 30/05/2021 23:01

Some wonderful stories on here, congratulations to everyone on the weight loss, very inspiring. I have about 2 maybe 3 stone to lose so am following with interest. Looking forward to getting back into some nice fitting clothes rather than the baggy things I wear to disguise my bulges. Looking forward to reducing the back fat and not having sweaty boobs all the time

MissingInActon · 30/05/2021 23:04

I am, @OhHarry. I'm only just beginning to lose weight though, unlike some of the people on the thread. I was called for a group 6 Covid jab because of my BMI and it was a bit of a wake up call tbh.
