This is SO indulgent. Sorry Blush

I still have another 3 to go so I’m still quite big. But as the weather has finally got warmer here’s some stuff that I’ve noticed:

I used to get a cheesey sort of thing under my belly. I had to shower twice every day without fail or this STANK. Now I still shower at least once a day but I choose to: I don’t have to because of this revolting thing.

I have so much more choice with clothes. Last summer I wore black leggings and baggy t shirts. Now I can wear bright summer colours and not feel self conscious.

My back isn’t as fat.

I don’t feel embarrassed to have my photo taken with my children. I definitely still look plump but I don’t avoid the camera and I ask DH to take photos of us.

I got a job, after thinking no one would employ me.

I don’t look scruffy any more. I’m not saying all big people do. I know some look very elegant; but I never did.

I’m losing motivation so add yours!

@fat13 That is an achievement to be proud of. Well Done.
It is nice to be able to choose ones 'look' isn't it?
Are there any warning that you know of in using Exante. Do you know if it is OK with blood thinners like Warfarin or Rivaroxaban?
I will of course check thoroughly but just asking you.

RainHailSnow · 30/05/2021 21:07

Thanks for the info everyone. Very inspirational. I like pp saying their whole family life improved and active and outdoors. That’s my biggest guilt right now that I can’t do anything much with my kids and I’m impacting them. Well done to everyone else go has lost so much

fat13 · 30/05/2021 21:08

I’m afraid I don’t know - would definitely advise checking with your doctor first.

I actually like the products but I am bored of them now! Grin

I still use shakes for maintenance, it's a quick lunch when at work I try & keep low cal work days then can eat higher cal on my days off.

AFS1 · 30/05/2021 21:12

Are you still on total meal replacement, OP, or have you started adding meals in?

fat13 · 30/05/2021 21:13

I’m still on meal replacement although I have had a bad week tbh, annoyed with myself.

@Lemons1571 I have lost 7st and I thought I was imagining the inset armpit thing!

It is nice to be able to wear skirts without anti chafing cream.

fucksat50 · 30/05/2021 21:17

👏👏👏 well done to you for losing 5 stone. You are amazing!

TrumptyDumpty · 30/05/2021 21:26

Hi OP I've also lost 5 stone after going on the waiting list for a gallbladder removal at the start of lockdown last year and decided not to eat any fat to minimise the risk of another attack. I still have a couple more stone to lose but I'm not stressing. It's the little things I love like being able to get off the floor easily, more choice of clothes, fitting through gaps and not getting out of breath so easily.

Mojoj · 30/05/2021 21:29

Congratulations. That's fab. Keep going!!

lakesummer · 30/05/2021 21:30

I think you are all fantastic and I'm sure there are great health benefits.
But it seems sad that some of you felt that you had to apologize for existing when you were larger.
That is a pretty sad reflection on the rest of us in society thinking about it.

Is anyone else trying to figure out if they have a smelly under belly after reading this Blush

Lemons1571 · 30/05/2021 21:32

@Cleopatras

Congratulations everyone on your fantastic weight loss Smile. I have 8 stone to lose so am also following this thread for inspiration. I was wondering did you all also exercise or was your weight loss solely due to diet changes?
99% reduced calorie diet. Might start exercising because I enjoy it. But at the start of the diet it was too hard - I was too big to do most exercise with any degree of success.

Mine is under the hanging down part from multiple c sections. So maybe it’s not universal.
Yorkshiremummyof1 · 30/05/2021 21:39

I’ve lost 10 stone, 3 to go.

I don’t set off the automatic toilet flush in public toilets just by sitting in the toilet :)

Gemma2019 · 30/05/2021 21:39

I've lost 70lbs by calorie counting but it took over 18 months. Now a size 10 for first time in my life. Benefits to me are:

  1. Thighs don't rub together anymore
  2. I have a nice defined collarbone
  3. The deep groove created by my bra strap disappeared
  4. Excess hair has disappeared
  5. Can do up my shoe straps now without getting into a weird position
  6. Huge choice of clothes now

There are hundreds more.

Thank you this is what I needed to hear as I find exercising extremely difficult because of my weight and after my recent car accident I'm constantly in pain. I did lose two stone last year due to diet and weekly visits to my physiotherapist before the pandemic but I've gained it back plus another stone. I'm going to get serious and start my diet!

10 stone is amazing!! How did you do it, if you don’t mind me asking?
MegsSmeg · 30/05/2021 21:53

I am about to embark on this journey myself. Terrified of failure so it's good to read the success stories here! Can I ask, have any of you experienced loose skin following such big losses? I'm wondering if it can be avoided....

BreakingtheIce · 30/05/2021 21:55

Well done to everyone. Amazing achievements. I would like to know how each of you have done it. I need to lose 4 stone! I just cannot stick to a diet or find anything g that works for me. What is Extante?

WhoWants2Know · 30/05/2021 22:01

Exante is a meal replacement programme where you swap regular food for shakes or bars that have the nutrients you need.

I'm in my 3rd week and feeling good, but hearing these stories is so helpful!

WhoWants2Know · 30/05/2021 22:02

Oh, and with the constant deals, it's not too expensive either.

BigHeadBertha · 30/05/2021 22:02

Congratulations, Fat13. Well done! Looks like now you'll have to change your user name. :)

FairyDust123456 · 30/05/2021 22:04

Well done you! I need to give myself a kick up the bum to start cutting down, I needed this thread for inspiration today!

Undersnatch · 30/05/2021 22:04

Well done to all of you on your losses - amazing work. OP, try not to be too hard on yourself for your bad week, just let it go and start again tomorrow. It happens. You’ve made great progress and you just need to keep going, you’ve already shown yourself you can do this!
