I HATE my wedding dress

I'm getting married next month, my dress has arrived and I hate it. I need to find a new one and fast. Please help?

I have toyed with the idea of non-white dresses, at this rate I'm open to anything. Ideally wanted a midi length pale dress that doesn't look like a bridesmaid dress (The one I have bought is blush and floaty and bridesmaidy). :( :(

Renting a dress sounds like a good idea because there will be loads of choice and you can get a better quality as renting will be cheaper than buying.

@Baxdream I had the Rachel Simpson mimosa in green for my wedding shoes, beautiful and comfortable. I love that there seem to be lower heels and flats too now, my maid of honour would've appreciated that!

Thank you everyone for all the suggestions! Yes I don't think very high heels would be the best idea especially as I'm not used to it. Still keen to find platform sandals, this sort of thing - Sandals ofc these are not elegant but this concept of platforms so that the heels don't feel steep/are comfy but still give me the height I need!

@CaraherEIL - It is gorgeous! I'm just not sure if 3 tiers is a bit much for me, also the gold colour works great fair haired models blondey/browny hair but not so sure it will work well on very dark curly hair. I'd be keen to consider something similar in a darker colour and perhaps slightly smaller.

@BasiliskStare Gorgeous! Just not sure I can justify spending that amount on shoes... just the style I'm after though I think.

@Cowbells I think these would work too in terms of giving me the height without being too uncomfy/ feeling like steep heels. Just not sure that shade of gold with go with my gold shimmery AP dress?

In fact, what colour shoes would go with both a deep shimmery gold dress and silver? "Nude" shades are not nude for my skin tone...

@CaraherEIL - I really like these shoes, they'd certainly give me the height to make the dresses look even more elegant. I just worry its too high for me to be comfortably able to walk in. May be one to consider as a back up, thank you.

@HandforthParishCouncilClerk - wow great find! This is exactly the concept I was trying to get at, heels without actually feeling like you're wearing very high heels. Looks comfy too! My only reservation is the price :( and whether the colour would suit my skin tone (pinks usually dont do me any favours). Lovely though!! I wish I could plug this into google/software that would suggest other shoes that are similar..

That's a tough one. Unless you find shoes that match your skin tone, you probably need two pairs.
There are brands that specialise in various shades of nude to match every skin colour, but they seem to be expensive. Having said that it might be worth looking at them as this can give you an idea of what shoe colour to look for.

Or look at the darkest tone in the gold dress and go for a beige/tan or metallic that matches it.

@xela21 Here's a pic of me at my wedding. I wore a gold dress and a headband similar to what someone posted earlier in the thread with a birdcage veil and added a bridal belt and wore Rachel Simpson mimosa shoes in the berry colour, just to give you an idea of how bridal you can look in gold.
