I HATE my wedding dress

I'm getting married next month, my dress has arrived and I hate it. I need to find a new one and fast. Please help?

I have toyed with the idea of non-white dresses, at this rate I'm open to anything. Ideally wanted a midi length pale dress that doesn't look like a bridesmaid dress (The one I have bought is blush and floaty and bridesmaidy). :( :(

I dont know why but something just doesn't feel quite right about a pure white dress. But then neither does bright colours so I end up favouring the pale colours which naturally look bridesmaid-y!

Maybe it's because I am atheist (not having a church wedding).

I ordered from Monsoon for my daughter and it came on 24 or 48 hour delivery, have you had a look at their bridal range? We only had 3 weeks to organise due to family illness so were also pressed for time.

This is lovely, in my opinion. Colour is described as Old Rose.

Don't underestimate how much make-up, hair and flowers could do to make you feel all bridal. You can get a less bridal dress, and go mad on the bridal bouquet. If you have by far the most eye-catching flowers and nicely done hair, nobody is going to doubt who the bride is.

Having a very small wedding with just 12 people (covid) so didn't want to go to crazy with a big wedding dress. I think ideally would like a midi length dress in a warm pale blush/gold colour - any ideas?

You can dress it up to make it more bridelike, it's a lovely dress but fairly understated. Why not look into getting a chiffon cape to add some drama to it? You can get a bolt of matching chiffon fabric and a local dressmaker could put it together for you.

My friend's wedding dress was made by her mother and she hated it when she tried it on, she thought it was too plain, so I made a beaded overskirt for her to dress it up a bit. That's another option, and there's quite a few of them on etsy.

Have you looked at the reformation website? They have lots of nice, simple dresses in a variety of colours. Maybe hope and ivy if you don’t mind pattern. The outnet often have good things too.

Do you hate the dress because you think it looks too bridsmaidy or because you think it doesn't suit you?

I think it could very well as wedding dress, but obviously if you don't like it on that doesn't matter!
